Scout (cream) is a sweet, gentle 5-year-old golden who can be a bit shy in new environments, but once she feels comfortable with her trusted person nearby, she relaxes and is calm, affectionate, and happy. Stella (brown) is Scout’s 4-year-old bonded best friend. She’s playful, outgoing, and full of joyful energy. Her confident, happy nature is a great balance to Scout and helps her feel more secure. Because these two are so closely bonded and rely on each other, our goal is to find a home that can welcome them together.

Story

Sammy is an amazing and resilient 3-year-old Golden Retriever. He is a very loving Golden to those who know and love him. Sammy is currently enrolled in an extended board-and-train program designed to help de-escalate reactivity with dogs, address home barriers, and manage interactions with strangers. He has really done well after 6 months, building confidence and reducing his reactivity to men and dogs. Sammy now has a pack of five doggie friends he plays with regularly. We have weaned him off the Reconcile, and his Golden personality is really beginning to shine through. Sammy's extensive training is really showing what Sammy's potential can be when loved and cared for daily. He will need an experienced owner who can provide consistent reinforcement and meet his needs. If you are interested, we can coordinate a call with his trainer to learn more. Sammy is being fostered in San Jose.

4-5 month old male golden doodle/husky mix Nemo has healed from his amputations and is now ready for his new home! This adorable pup came to us with not 3…not 4… but 5 legs! Unfortunately due to two of them not being formed or usuable, we were told by 2 seperate vets that those extra flippers needed to go! Nemo’s DNA is made up of 50% siberian husky, 25.1% golden retriever, and 24.9% standard poodle! His husky genes come through strong as this guy LOVES to talk. A note from his foster - Nemo has been through a lot in his little life, dumped as a baby then he came to us. Born with a congenital deformity with two extra arms but he never let it bother him. After his major surgery he has healed and acts like nothing has ever happened. He is a three legged dog that acts like he has four. This does not slow him down at all!! He is the sweetest most playful boy! He loves toys, kongs, treats, belly rubs and giving kisses. When he gets tired he just wants a soft spot to sleep. He is puppy pad/newspaper trained. This sweet silly boy needs a home that can keep up with him and all he begs for is your attention. He is curious about cats and likes other dogs. He will be a great addition to your home. He will need a home with no pool (unless it’s completely fenced off) and no stairs. Fully vaccinated, Dewormed, Chipped, Neutered ****PLEASE DO NOT CALL TO CHECK STATUS OF A DOG...PHONE CALLS ARE FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY. *Note: Currently, Shiloh is in Korea, but she will arrive in San Francisco upon adoption. Background Shiloh is a beautiful girl who was rescued from a city pound in Buan, Korea last summer. After her rescue, she moved to our partner boarding house, where she has been living peacefully with other dogs. At the time of rescue, Shiloh was heartworm positive. She bravely completed her treatment and is now healthy, happy, and ready to find her forever home. Personality and Socialization Shiloh has a lovely Golden Retriever type personality. She is friendly, social, and very people oriented. She is comfortable with both men and women and enjoys being around people, getting attention, and snuggling close. She is not shy and warms up easily, making her a joy to be around. Shiloh has lived with many dogs and does best with friendly dogs who enjoy playtime. She loves running around and spending time outdoors, and she gets along well with dogs that have good manners and positive energy. Behaviour Shiloh is easygoing and well balanced. She enjoys playtime with dogs and people, but once she has had her fun, she is happy to lie down and relax nearby. She is not a big barker. She may bark a little when excited, such as at mealtime or when visitors arrive, but these are happy, short moments. She enjoys going for walks and loves outdoor time. She may pull a bit when she is excited, but overall she walks well on leash. Shiloh handles vet visits, baths, and car rides calmly and cooperatively. Health and Diet Shiloh has fully completed her heartworm treatment and is now healthy. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and vaccinated up to date. She has also completed dental scaling and receives monthly parasite preventatives. She eats dry food twice a day, is not a picky eater, and has shown no signs of food allergies. Ideal Home Shiloh loves being with her people and would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. Having another friendly dog to play with would be wonderful, as she enjoys canine companionship. A calm, loving family with a relaxed lifestyle and plenty of time to spend together would be the perfect match for this gentle, affectionate girl.
