Story
Glen is looking for a foster to adopt home. He just came into our Rescue on Sunday and is quite the handsome, sweet, loving and very charming little boy. Weighing only 48 lbs., this poor boy was neglected for a while but now he is anxiously awaiting being in a home with good care, loving, lots of water and food always. Our volunteers immediately jumped into action to bring this precious boy to safety.and good care. Glen is now residing at one of our Rescue Vet Hospitals where he is being treated like a prince. With Cuddles and belly rubs from the staff, he has become a hospital favorite. He will be neutered.on 1/27 but we are looking for a foster to get him into a home prior to that surgery to give him some happy days before he needs to quiet down and recover. Right now, he is feeling so much better because of a bath and grooming which was desperately needed after his time in a bad situation. As you can see, he's quite the handsome boy with a personality to match. Glen does well in a crate and riding in a car although he's not really too fond of "getting into the car"!! He walks fairly well on a leash but is young and strong so can pull at times when you want him to go right and he wants to go left!! This boy is underweight, weighing only 48.5 lbs and thin He has beautiful long legs so we imagine he will max out in the 60 lb. range. He has been given all of his vaccinations, bathed, wormed and will be neutered shortly. In addition, he has begun meds to initiate heartworm treatment to begin next month. This precious little guy has been badly neglected but you would never know it by his happy, loving and very cuddly personality. We are presently seeing a foster or foster to adopt home for Glen so he can enjoy the love and care of a responsible and loving family. We hate to see him remain in the hospital until he is neutered on Tuesday so an experienced foster family would be ideal to get this sweet boy out of there and into a home where he belongs. If you are interested, please go to www.greatrescue.org to complete a foster application or call 904-703-8348 or 904-501-6899. You can also email your interest at greatreacue@comcast.net.

Story
Glen is looking for a foster to adopt home. He just came into our Rescue on Sunday and is quite the handsome, sweet, loving and very charming little boy. Weighing only 48 lbs., this poor boy was a stray and roaming for a while before he decided, he had had enough and wanted to be in a home. He stayed around a family with two little boys where he was fed, watered and given shelter but they could not keep him so they contacted GREAT Rescue for help. Our volunteers immediately jumped into action to bring this precious boy to safety. Glen is now residing at one of our Rescue Vet Hospitals where he is being treated like a prince. With Cuddles and belly rubs from the staff, he has become a hospital favorite. His stray-hold will be completed on 1/27 and he will then be neutered. Right now, he is feeling so much better because of a bath and grooming which was desperately needed after his time on the run. As you can see, he's quite the handsome boy with a personality to match. Glen does well in a crate and riding in a car although he's not really too fond of "getting into the car"!! We hate to see him remain in the hospital until he is neutered on Tuesday so an experienced foster family would be ideal to get this sweet boy out of there and into a home where he belongs. The family must be in or around Jacksonville so he can continue his Heartworm treatment, must have a tall fenced yard and no children under 5. It is preferable that a family member be home much of the time. If you are interested, please go to www.greatrescue.org to complete a foster application or call 904-703-8348 or 904-501-6899. Story
Here’s a good family dog, but extremely anxious around a crowd of people. The reason I can not keep this dog anymore is because he has bitten two of my buddies due to being anxious with too much noise/commotion in a confined space. At home with just my family, he has been phenomenal, but with a 2 year old daughter I can not risk keeping him around. Although he has never given me a concern around my daughter, I will not take the risk. Looking to rehome him to a family that may not have much company around and can keep him in a more peaceful environment. He is trained well around the house, loves outdoors, walks, going on the boat with me, car rides, friendly/playful with our cats, etc. As much as it pains me to do this, I would love to find a new home for him instead of euthanizing, he can be a good dog for somebody out there.
