Story
This is Muffin. At first she can be a bit timid and fearful. She warms up quickly and when she does, she is very sweet and playful. Very energetic and loves to run. I use to take her out on runs or out for a bike ride. When riding a bike she always kept up and kept close. (Although you will need to work up to this) Her younger years I potty trained her, she’s kennel trained and will go to her kennel if told the word cage. She will sit when told to sit, and will come to you if told the word come. She is a very smart, cute dog and listens well. Requires a lot of attention and exercise. And unfortunately I do not have the time I wish I had to spend with her. Hoping she goes to a loving family with kids.

Story
Bailey is the puppy who always wants to know what’s happening next. DOB: 10/19/2025 Mixed Breed Puppy (best guess) With her gorgeous amber eyes, reddish coat, and little white toes, she’s impossible not to notice — but it’s her bold, curious personality that really makes her fun to live with. Bailey was born as a single puppy, so she grew up used to being the star of the show and has a confident, slightly mischievous streak that keeps life entertaining. She’s an athletic, playful pup who loves to run, explore, and learn new things. Bailey is already showing off her smarts in her foster home and is picking up training quickly. So far Bailey has learned: ✔️ Sit ✔️ Come ✔️ Fetch ✔️ Crate training ✔️ Potty training is going well She’s very food motivated, which makes training fun and easy, and she’s already showing great manners — she’ll even sit politely and wait while the other dog finishes eating. Bailey does great with the dogs in her foster home and enjoys having canine friends to play with. Her ideal home will be one that enjoys an active, playful puppy who is eager to learn and be part of the action. Bailey is expected to grow into a medium-to-large adult dog (approximately 45–60 lbs). Bailey has a beautiful reddish coat and striking eyes that give her a unique look — possibly some Catahoula or hound in the mix, but her breed makeup is simply our best guess. If you’re looking for a smart, athletic puppy with striking eyes, a playful personality, and the confidence to take on the world, Bailey might be your girl. All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee: $225 Our dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro. We do not have a shelter facility. Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Pet Location: Wayside Waifs Campus - Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My Friends at Wayside say: - I’m a little shy—slow and steady wins the race with me.- I’m smart and food/treat motivated. - New people and things make me a little nervous. Wayside recommends that I have a low traffic home. My home needs are: - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - If you have kids in the home aged 6-9, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises.

Story
Chase has learned to live with our cat & I've seen him play well with small dogs. He does have medium/big dog fear aggression. I asked previous owner if he had been bitten by another dog or a wild animal, they said no. He has been a part of our family for 3.5 years & isn't as reactive with other dogs as he used to be. That's to say, if he is a good distance he doesn't growl and lunge as much. Chase needs an experienced adopter with plenty of room to roam in his own private yard without medium/big dogs nearby. I have talked with a couple of trainers & they think it's likely he can be trained out of his fear aggression. This would be from a knowledgeable owner or trained professional. He loves people & attention. I would caution that he isn't in a home with small children just because he hasn't lived with young children in our home or with original owner. He really is very sweet like Golden Retrievers are known for, he just has some special needs.

Story
Female golden retriever needing to be rehomed. Bird is a 53 pound field bread golden who has a lot of love to share. She is one year old. She has great recall and is down to do anything. Bird knows a variety of different commands such as sit down (lay), hold (stay), paw (shake), place (a designated place she goes to lay and stay), and drop. She has great potential to be a hunting dog since she has that natural drive to retrieve. Bird LOVES to play and she loves to have a job to do. She has the biggest heart and loves everyone. She encounters. Located in Kansas City, MO. Please reach out if you’re interested in Bird!
