Have you ever seen a more handsome puppy than our darling Deano? This boy has the best smile and the most handsome markings. He is a puppy that was born in a litter of 8 puppies and he has always marched to the beat of his own drum. Deano was born in the middle of June to a sweet momma Golden Retriever mix and spent the first 5–6 weeks of his life growing up in the woods with his mom and siblings. Thankfully, a kind person rescued the entire family and gave these puppies the safe start they deserved. Now this very special boy is ready to find the people who will appreciate just how wonderfully unique he is.From the beginning, Deano has been different his foster has stated. While his siblings were busy playing together in the yard, Deano could often be found doing his own thing on the carport, apparently contemplating the important questions of puppy life. His foster family joked that he wasn't just hanging around — he was studying at Harvard and working toward his doctorate in Astrophysics. And honestly… Dean does have that kind of personality.He's thoughtful. He's curious. He's independent without being aloof. He likes to take in what's happening around him and then decide for himself what he thinks about it. He plays with his siblings, explores his surroundings and even seems to have a protective little streak when it comes to the girls.His coloring and markings are different from everyone else in his litter, and somehow that seems fitting. Deano has always been his own boy.But underneath all that individuality is an incredibly gentle and loving puppy. Dean is a cuddler who loves being close to his people. He has the sweetest little howl that occasionally lets everyone know, “Hey, Deano is here!” And those beautiful green eyes seem to carry a quiet trust that makes you want to earn it — and treasure it.Deano is expected to grow into a 60+ pound adult dog. His momma is about 44 pounds, and his daddy was most likely a Hound mix and bigger than their Momma. So that thoughtful little puppy is going to become a big, handsome boy.Deano isn't necessarily going to be the puppy who follows the crowd. He's going to be the one who makes you wonder what he's thinking, makes you laugh with his quirky little ways, then quietly curls up beside you when he's ready for some love.He's smart. He's gentle. He's different.And Dean is definitely one of a kind. There has always been something a little different about Deano. From the very beginning, he seemed to have his own way of looking at the world. While his seven siblings were busy playing together in the yard, Dean might be off on the carport doing his own thing, quietly taking everything in. Even as a puppy, Dean has had a wonderful balance of independence and affection. He doesn't always feel the need to be right in the middle of whatever everyone else is doing, but he absolutely loves his people and enjoys his time with his siblings. He has even taken on the role of protector from time to time, keeping a watchful eye on the girls.
