Story
Looking for a sophisticated gentleman who has already mastered the art of being a "good boy"? Meet Charlie, a charming guy who is ready to bring a sense of calm and a lot of love to his forever home.   Charlie is the definition of a low-maintenance companion. He is fully house-trained and knows exactly to wait until he's outside to do his business. While his foster family doesn’t use a crate, Charlie is so well-behaved that he doesn’t need one—he’s calm, relaxed, and respectful of the home. He’s also a very quiet neighbor who hardly ever barks.   This distinguished gentleman is quite the scholar! Charlie already knows a variety of commands, including: • Sit, Stay, and Come   • Down and Off   • Give me paw and Up   He is a dream on a leash, walking nicely by your side without pulling. He also travels well and stays calm and well-behaved in the car, making him the perfect co-pilot for errands or road trips.   Charlie is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He currently lives with small and senior dogs and has a very laid-back, polite play style. He is friendly and respectful, though he hasn't had the chance to meet cats or children just yet.   When it comes to his humans, Charlie is a true sweetheart. He enjoys cuddles, loves being close to his people, and his absolute favorite activity is simply relaxing and being petted.   The Ideal Match Looking for a sophisticated gentleman who has already mastered the art of being a "good boy"? Meet Charlie, a charming senior who is ready to bring a sense of calm and a lot of love to his forever home.   The Ultimate Houseguest Charlie is the definition of a low-maintenance companion. Because he is so well-trained and easygoing, he would be a fantastic match for a first-time dog owner or just about any family looking for a loyal, well-behaved companion.   Three words to describe Charlie: Calm, Cuddly, and Well-Behaved.   Ready to add a little magic to your life? Charlie is waiting to meet you!   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##2695162##

Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Georgia! This southern belle is approximately 2 years old, 35 lbs currently and she likely has some retriever in her mix. Georgia was found as a stray. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house house training, crate training and leash walking. She could join households with dog-savvy kids 10+ and other young, playful dogs. She would benefit from a home with a fenced in yard. She is not a good candidate for apartment living. Her foster says, `She is the sweetest dog. She just wants a human to love her and pet her. She does need some gentle parenting as she is still learning commands. She will sit for treats. She is pretty high energy and would love to have another high energy furry friend to play with. She is starting to walk well on a leash and only chews on sticks, treats, and toys. She is a beautiful dog and anyone that has the time to take up and spend with her will have a best friend for life.`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on April 24. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
