I’m a young puppy with a big personality who made the long trip all the way from Texas to Yankee in search of my forever family. I’m a sweet, playful, and active pup who is ready to fill a home with puppy love, laughter, and lots of fun adventures. I’m a guy who loves to keep busy! Toys, treats, exploring the yard, and spending time with my people are some of my favorite things. I have plenty of puppy curiosity and enthusiasm, and I’m always excited to see what fun comes next. Whether it’s going for a walk, learning a new trick, or playing with my favorite toys, I’m happiest when I’m included in the action. I enjoy playing with my sister Deandra, who is also available for adoption. We have a great time together, but I would also be happy joining a home with another playful, dog-savvy pup who enjoys my puppy energy. I can also go home with respectful kids who understand that puppies are still learning and that my excitement may sometimes come out as a little bounciness. My perfect home will be one that is ready for all the joys (and adventures!) of raising a young dog. I have been doing wonderfully here at Yankee while working on my leash skills and learning how to be the best pup I can be. Since I’m still young, my family should continue helping me build confidence, practice good manners, and learn the ropes of being a great companion. With some tasty treats and positive encouragement, I’m a quick learner and eager to please! Some people say I look like the superhero dog Bolt! With my bright white coat, big ears, and adorable expression, I definitely have a little bit of that super-dog charm. While I may not have superhero powers, I do have the ability to make people smile everywhere I go. If you’re looking for a lovable, soft, playful puppy who is ready to grow alongside a family, I might just be the perfect match. I’m King, a senior gentleman seeking a cozy castle to call my own. I may not wear an actual crown (yet), but I promise to rule your heart with kindness, loyalty, and plenty of tail wags. I’m a loving dog who enjoys being by my humans’ side. In fact, I adore my people so much that I can get a little stressed when they leave the room. So if you’re retired, work from home, or if you can take a dog to work, I would be absolutely delighted to be your loyal companion. My little waddle and jog are the sweetest, and make my people laugh. And what king doesn’t love treats? So much so that I went on a diet. My foster family did a great job with getting me to lose weight. I can also get a bit fed up with energetic pups—they’ve just got too much energy for an old guy like myself! If you’ve got another dog, they should be a calm dig like myself. I’d also prefer not to go home with young children, though older dog-savvy teens are just fine. PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Yogi! Yogi is approximately 1 year old, 60 lb currently, and he is a mixed breed pup! He was found as a stray and was heartworm positive. He has since been treated and is now ready for adoption! In his foster home, he`s doing great with his house training, crate training and leash walking. He could join households with kids 10+ and other mellow dogs. He has not lived with cats but is reactive when he sees them on walks so he likely isn`t a good candidate to join households with cats.His foster says, `Yogi is absolutely gorgeous. He is a big Boy, and loves running in our fenced in back yard. He minds very well, and is a Happy boy. He does very well in his crate at night. He is aware of his surroundings, and is well behaved. The lucky family that lands this beautiful Boy will be hitting the Jackpot!! I love Yogi and I would love some updates on him. He will be so missed by our family.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on September 11 with an approved adopter.
