Story
I adopted this pet when she was 10 weeks old from Worcester MA. She is very playful and energetic. I had 7 years old son at home by that time and I recently had another baby. It is hard for me to give full time attention and care for two kids and dog and also going back to fulltime work soon. I am looking for some to adopt Sugar who can give time to take her out often and give her plenty of time to play outside as she is very playful. She is full of energy and seek lots attention.

Story
Major is a purebred English cream Golden Retriever who was bought from a breeder. Unfortunately, Due to unexpected personal circumstances the family decided to surrender Major to our care and to find him the perfect home. He is 11 months old and 73 lbs big boy. Pure love bug, sweet, kind. Due to his size people forget he is still a puppy and has lot of energy. He does know how to settle down though once he plays with his friend Lilly, several walks and some fetch. Extremely trainable, he is also somewhat of a Velcro dog. He loves being near people and definitely loves a combination of belly rubs accompanied by some treats 🤷‍♀️ He is looking for his next home so please only apply if you have the time and energy to dedicate to a young pup who need the exercise but also lots of cuddling and kisses. If interested in Major, please apply on www.legacyrescue.org/adoption

Story
Riley is the sweetest Golden retriever mix. He is 1Y8M and he was found in a trailer park in Alabama as a stray. He has been in MA for few months. When he first arrived he was afraid of the leash as we believe he was never on one but now he is a total pro! He loves his walks and meeting other dogs. Incredible with other dogs, people, kids and so far even some cats! That surprised us as he does have a high pray drive for rabbits and squirrels but then again which golden retriever doesn’t? When he is not playing with his friend Pippa, you can find him cuddling next to you. His other favorite pass time is playing fetch! That he can do for a long time for sure 😃 He is looking for an energetic and active person or couple who can give him the exercise he needs. A fenced yard is a requirement for this young fellow If interested please apply on www.legacyrescue.org/adoption

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Yes, older childrenCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesBuster is a big boy with a big, goofy, lovable personality. He’s the type of dog that everyone in your life knows the name of and has a funny story about.Buster is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle. His favorite things are treats, playing, and people who pet him. He loves toys of all sorts (and is always down for a game of tug-of-war).While he’s a whole lot of fun, Buster needs an experienced, confident adopter. He has worked very hard on training and structure in his foster home. Once he learns your boundaries and settles in, he really shines. He’ll look to you for guidance on how to be his best self.He is energetic, but is happy to chill after his morning exercise routine. He’s a great work from home buddy, only getting up from his nap for an occasional scratch on the head. He likes to be involved so he will follow you around as you move about your home.Buster absolutely loves other dogs and is learning to take cues when playing. He currently lives with another dog in his foster home and would do well with a playful, tolerant doggie sibling (or would be happy as an only dog).Buster is extremely social and sometimes has trouble containing his excitement. As a result, he can be reactive to dogs on leash. He is working very hard on improving and will need an adopter dedicated to continuing his training. While he’s very friendly with people, he’s a big boy that doesn’t understand his size so he would do best in a home with older children.Buster sleeps through the night in his crate and settles in the crate during the day. However, he can be vocal when he can’t greet guests. Because of this, he would do well in a home without nearby neighbors or neighbors who will appreciate him as he sings the song of his people.Buster will be a fantastic, loyal companion. If you’re looking for a dog where you can see your hard work pay off and quite a few laughs, Buster is your guy! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.April 24, 2024, 3:56 pm

Story
Are you ready for some big puppy fun??? Cooper is a happy, clever young guy that is looking for adopters that will be excited to help him achieve best boy ever status! This means positive rewards training, fine tuning house training, exercise and tons of fun and laughs in between. Because Cooper loves everyone he meets and gets very excited, he might forget all about the polite way to greet people and be a bit on the jumpy side. Teens that are comfortable with bouncy young dogs and will participate in his training, will be considered. He can potentially join a home with a resident dog that is comfortable with his rough and tumble play style and who can be a good role model. No cats in the home at this time, please. Cooper is ready to become a wonderful companion for many years, he just needs to find his forever family. If you think he might be the one for you, please drop by the shelter during open hours to talk to staff. Tuesday- Sunday 12-3p
