Story
Meet Piper, this incredibly resilient and loving 1½-year-old girl, weighing about 35 pounds, who is ready to find the forever home she truly deserves. Her story starts in heartbreak—she and her brother were cruelly thrown from a moving car onto a busy road in Puerto Rico and left behind. Despite everything, they chased after the only life they knew as the car drove away. Thankfully, a kind-hearted person stepped in and rescued them, giving her a second chance at life. What’s amazing is that her spirit remains completely unbroken. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate—truly a “super snuggler” who loves to be close to her people. She’s well-behaved (doing well with house training), easygoing, and gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets, including other dogs and people of all ages. She has so much love to give and is simply looking for a safe, caring home where she can feel secure and cherished. After everything she’s been through, she deserves nothing less than a lifetime of kindness, comfort, and cuddles. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your home with warmth and affection, she may be the perfect match for you.

Story
Meet Paulie, a playful bundle of love! Paulie and his sister Piper were cruelly tossed from a moving car onto a busy Puerto Rican road. The pair was seen chasing after the car that dumped them. Their resilience paid off when a compassionate rescuer intervened, offering them the second chance they desperately needed. Paulie hasn’t been scarred by his hardship. Instead, he’s blossomed into a confident, playful, and incredibly sweet companion. Paulie adores people, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and greets each day with a trusting, joyful heart. Whether he’s playing, exploring the world, or soaking up your affection, Paulie’s greatest happiness comes from being with those he loves. And now Paulie is healthy and ready for his forever-loving home. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving, Paulie is ready to meet you and steal your heart.

Story
Charlie is a handsome doodle boy who is looking for a special home! He is a smart boy who loves treats and is looking for a family committed to positive reinforcement training, so he can be his best self! Charlie can be a bit pesky when he is left to his own devices and gets into things he`s not supposed to. Once Charlie is comfortable with a new person he loves to get scritches, but he can be a little nervous of new people and places at first. Charlie is not a big fan of other dogs and is looking for a home where he can be the center of attention.

Story
Looking for a sophisticated gentleman who has already mastered the art of being a "good boy"? Meet Charlie, a charming guy who is ready to bring a sense of calm and a lot of love to his forever home.   Charlie is the definition of a low-maintenance companion. He is fully house-trained and knows exactly to wait until he's outside to do his business. While his foster family doesn’t use a crate, Charlie is so well-behaved that he doesn’t need one—he’s calm, relaxed, and respectful of the home. He’s also a very quiet neighbor who hardly ever barks.   This distinguished gentleman is quite the scholar! Charlie already knows a variety of commands, including: • Sit, Stay, and Come   • Down and Off   • Give me paw and Up   He is a dream on a leash, walking nicely by your side without pulling. He also travels well and stays calm and well-behaved in the car, making him the perfect co-pilot for errands or road trips.   Charlie is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He currently lives with small and senior dogs and has a very laid-back, polite play style. He is friendly and respectful, though he hasn't had the chance to meet cats or children just yet.   When it comes to his humans, Charlie is a true sweetheart. He enjoys cuddles, loves being close to his people, and his absolute favorite activity is simply relaxing and being petted.   The Ideal Match Looking for a sophisticated gentleman who has already mastered the art of being a "good boy"? Charlie is waiting to meet you!   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##2695162##
