Because Cooper loves everyone he meets and gets very excited, he might forget all about the polite way to greet people and be a bit on the jumpy side. Teens that are comfortable with bouncy young dogs and will participate in his training, will be considered. He can potentially join a home with a resident dog that is comfortable with his rough and tumble play style and who can be a good role model. No cats in the home at this time, please. Cooper is ready to become a wonderful companion for many years, he just needs to find his forever family. If you think he might be the one for you, please drop by the shelter during open hours to talk to staff. Tuesday- Sunday 12-3p

Amidst the chaos, a kind soul brought me to this shelter. I've learned my lesson, I promise. No more sausage heists for me. I'm all about belly rubs and fetch now. So, how about it? She came from a backyard breeder as an 8-week-old puppy, advertised as a Goldendoodle, but as she grew, it became clear that her heart and her heritage lean almost entirely Golden. Born on 2/7/23 and now weighing about 50 pounds, she has matured into a graceful, gentle young girl who wants nothing more than to be loved. Her original family adored her and provided her with a safe, caring home, but unexpected personal challenges arose—difficult ones that prevented them from giving her the consistency, time, and attention she truly deserved. They made the painful, selfless decision to ask for help in finding her a new family, wanting Margo to live her best possible life. And what a gift this girl will be to her new home. Margo is sweetness personified. She is friendly with every dog she meets, respectful and calm around cats, and gentle enough to be trusted with young children. She needs to be in a home of no small dogs - she thinks they are playthings. Her temperament is exactly what people love about Golden Retrievers—steady, affectionate, intuitive, and endlessly kind. She greets new people with a soft smile and happy tail as if welcoming them into her world. Margo is still young and doesn’t have many commands under her belt, but she is a blank slate in the best possible way. She watches her people carefully, eager to understand what’s expected of her, and she responds beautifully to gentle guidance. With patience and routine, she will blossom into a perfectly mannered companion. A fenced yard would be ideal for her—she loves the freedom to run, sniff, and stretch those young, energetic legs. She hasn’t had nearly enough opportunities for outdoor play or structured exercise, so a family who values activity and time outside will help her thrive. Meet Penelope! Penelope is approximately 10 months old, ~40 lbs currently and she is a Mutt. She was found as a stray at a boat ramp that is a known dumping ground. She is working hard on her house-training, crate training, and hasn`t had any leash walking experience yet. She could go to a home with kids 5+, and other young dogs.No apartments, please! She is initially shy and would benefit from a home with a fenced yard and another young dog.Her foster says, `She loves loves LOVES toys. She has a toy in her mouth 95% of the time. She loves frozen or fresh blueberries, carrots, and Greek yogurt. She is very cuddly and loving. She will sit for treats.`She is available for adoption in Hopkinton, MA by appointment.
