Story
At Pets Alive, every dog surrender is a chance to discover and understand their unique needs, and help them find a home environment that will better suit them for a happier life. Pebbles is one of our longer term senior dogs, and has become a favorite among our staff. She has had a challenging past, which has made her cautious around new faces. Earning her trust takes time—she will need at least a couple of visits before she feels comfortable—but the reward is immeasurable. Once Pebbles lets you into her world, you’ll become her certified best friend for life! She’s an extremely loving little lady, and despite her old age, she still has quite the energy—especially when it involves treats, a walk, or a romp around the yard with her chosen people. Pebbles would thrive in a home with a single adult and no children. She needs a patient owner who understands her protective nature and is committed to helping her feel safe and secure. We’d love to see her live out her golden years with someone who can see the same potential our staff sees in her every day. She has so much to offer to the right person who’s willing to give her a chance. If Pebbles sounds like the right match for you and your household, we’d love to hear from you! Please dont hesitate to fill out an application if you’d like to know more.

Story
*Name: Mae (Trinity) *Age: 6.5 years *Current Weight: 120 lbs *Rescued from: Texas (currently located with foster in Texas, transport will be scheduled once adopted.) *Adoption fee: $375  *Health: Up to date on vaccines, spayed & microchipped *Adoption requirements: adopter must be 25 or older Meet Mae!! Mae is a sweet 65lbs lady waiting for you to win her heart. Mae is believed to be a golden retriever/lab mix, and is 6.5 years old. She is a very affectionate, loving and loyal companion. Mae takes a minute to warm up to new people and things. After you earn her trust she will love with all of her heart. She will smother you with affection and gladly accept yours. Mae loves to run around outside and doesn't love being leashed, so a fully fenced yard is required. She loves to spend time outdoors sitting in chairs soaking up the sun. She is also just as content laying on the couch enjoying a great cuddle session. She has very nice house manners and stays on all fours. Mae does well around other calmer dogs, but she would also do well as your only furry companion. She is looking for her perfect furever home, could that be you?? To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1151751##

Story
*Name: Nora *Age: approx 2 years old *Current Weight: 65 lbs *Adoption fee: $475 Meet Nora – A Gentle, Playful Soul Looking for a Loving Forever Home! Nora is a two-year-old Labrador with a heart as big as her journey. This beautiful girl has already been through so much in her young life—found as a homeless mama, she lovingly raised her puppies until they were all adopted, and then faced more tough circumstances before finally getting her chance to just be a dog. Through it all, Nora has remained gentle, resilient, and full of love. She may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a loyal and affectionate companion. All she needs is a little patience and a calm environment to truly shine. With time, soft words, and a few yummy treats, you’ll discover the sweet, silly side of Nora that loves to play and bounce around with joy. Nora is a total goofball at heart! She adores playing with her people, but is also happy to entertain herself with her favorite toys. Kong toys and bully sticks are her go-to favorites for both fun and relaxation. She's curious and gentle with new visitors, and with a bit of encouragement, will even approach with a wagging tail and a smile. Though she was once unsure about leashes, Nora has made amazing progress and now loves going on neighborhood walks. The moment she sees the leash, she turns into a wiggly, excited ball of fluff, ready for her next adventure. She’s incredibly food-motivated and attentive, which makes her eager to learn new things. Nora is house-trained and does wonderfully when left home alone—she’ll quietly wait for her people to return. She would thrive in a quiet home with patient adopters who understand that she needs a little time to build confidence. A friendly dog sibling could help her adjust, but she’d also do well as the only pet in the home. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, playful companion with a heart full of gratitude and love, Nora just might be your perfect match. She’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love to her forever family. Could that be you?
