Story
At Pets Alive, every dog surrender is a chance to discover and understand their unique needs, and help them find a home environment that will better suit them for a happier life. Pebbles is one of our longer term senior dogs, and has become a favorite among our staff. She has had a challenging past, which has made her cautious around new faces. Earning her trust takes time—she will need at least a couple of visits before she feels comfortable—but the reward is immeasurable. Once Pebbles lets you into her world, you’ll become her certified best friend for life! She’s an extremely loving little lady, and despite her old age, she still has quite the energy—especially when it involves treats, a walk, or a romp around the yard with her chosen people. Pebbles would thrive in a home with a single adult and no children. She needs a patient owner who understands her protective nature and is committed to helping her feel safe and secure. We’d love to see her live out her golden years with someone who can see the same potential our staff sees in her every day. She has so much to offer to the right person who’s willing to give her a chance. If Pebbles sounds like the right match for you and your household, we’d love to hear from you! Please dont hesitate to fill out an application if you’d like to know more.

Story
*Name: Mae (Trinity) *Age: 6.5 years *Current Weight: 120 lbs *Rescued from: Texas (currently located with foster in Texas, transport will be scheduled once adopted.) *Adoption fee: $375  *Health: Up to date on vaccines, spayed & microchipped *Adoption requirements: adopter must be 25 or older Meet Mae!! Mae is a sweet 65lbs lady waiting for you to win her heart. Mae is believed to be a golden retriever/lab mix, and is 6.5 years old. She is a very affectionate, loving and loyal companion. Mae takes a minute to warm up to new people and things. After you earn her trust she will love with all of her heart. She will smother you with affection and gladly accept yours. Mae loves to run around outside and doesn't love being leashed, so a fully fenced yard is required. She loves to spend time outdoors sitting in chairs soaking up the sun. She is also just as content laying on the couch enjoying a great cuddle session. She has very nice house manners and stays on all fours. Mae does well around other calmer dogs, but she would also do well as your only furry companion. She is looking for her perfect furever home, could that be you?? To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1151751##

Breed: Chow Chow & Golden Retriever Mix (80 lbs)
 Birthdate: 6/25/2014 (12 years young)
 Sex: Neutered Male

Currently Fostered At: Goldens Bridge Veterinary Care Center — check out Amber's Angels Rescue’s Facebook page for weekly updates! Bo is a distinguished senior gentleman looking for a soft place to land for his golden years. He is available for adoption, long-term foster, or co-ownership with the rescue to ensure he is supported and cared for for the rest of his life. Adopting a senior dog can feel scary. Questions about health, time, and “what if” naturally come up. But it doesn’t have to be overwhelming — especially when you’re not doing it alone. We offer lifetime support, and with a senior like Bo, that partnership truly matters. What this co-ownership and foster could look like: Co-ownership or long term foster means Bo becomes part of your family, while the rescue remains actively involved in supporting his long-term well-being. This can include:
 • Ongoing guidance and check-ins
 • Help coordinating veterinary care if needed
• A safety net plan should life circumstances change You provide the daily love, home, and routine. We provide backup and peace of mind. It’s a team approach centered around giving Bo dignity, stability, and comfort. Bo is a sweet senior who truly thrives on companionship. At 12 years old, he enjoys staying close to his people and would love a home filled with steady affection, gentle routines, and the simple comfort of being near his humans. He has lived as an only dog but has been socialized with dogs his size. If placed with a canine companion, a slow and thoughtful introduction will be important. He would do best with dogs his size or smaller and non-dominant personalities. Bo has been cat-tested and would not be appropriate for a cat household, as he shows too much interest. He has previously been around children and has done well. Bo is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and consistently maintained on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He recently had bloodwork and a fecal test — both clear. He has a very small cherry eye that is mild and does not require surgery. Due to his age, he has some mild hearing loss, but it certainly doesn’t impact his quality of life .. he can still hear a treat bag crinkle from across the room. Bo is being rehomed because his beloved owner is transitioning into a nursing home. This decision was made with deep care and love. For years, Bo provided steady companionship, comfort, and emotional regulation to his elderly owner. He was and is deeply loved. Ensuring his continued well-being means everything to us. In his younger years, Bo graduated puppy class and learned his basic commands. He is housebroken and understands home routines well. While he can be strong on leash, he has more recently enjoyed the ease of being let out into a yard for bathroom breaks rather than long walks. He is a gentle, affectionate soul who will make a wonderful companion for the right family. He will be freshly groomed before going to his new home and will come with his food, treats, and comfort items to ease his transition. Senior dogs have a quiet magic about them. They bond deeply. They appreciate every soft bed, every gentle touch, every safe moment. Bo is ready to give someone his whole heart — he just needs a home willing to choose him. 📩 Contact Information:
