Sutton is a sweet hound and lab mix of about 3 years old. He is very appreciative that he wound up in his rescuers hands. He was a stray and quite thin when he was found, but he has filled out and thanks his people by being such a good boy. He loves children and is great with dogs, crate and house trained, and does ok on a leash. He's the perfect addition to your family! Meet our adoptable dogs on Saturdays from 11 am to 1 pm in the backyard at AARF's new location- 302 Thurston St, W-S. Go to AARFWS.org to view and apply for our AARF dogs. Information about the process is available on our website. Please keep in mind that we do not adopt farther than 45 minutes from AARF.

Story
Slipper has quickly become a staff favorite. She is calm and sweet, loves to go for walks and has excellent leash manners. She was found as a stray so we don't know her history. She must have been loved by someone; she knows sit and paw and she barks when she needs to go outside. Slipper keeps a clean kennel here in the shelter. She is 56 pounds and we estimate her to be about 1-2 years old. Slipper is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm disease and her adoption fee includes a voucher for her spay.

Story
Special needs AKC golden retriever girl seeks loving forever home. Winnie has so much love to give. She is spunky and playful when set loose in the field (loves to play in the mud, dig, and play "tag!") She is the biggest snuggle bug and prefers an owner who will let her sleep in the bed and spoon all night long! She enjoys children and adults alike and has no human bite history. :) However, Winnie has had some tough luck. An accidental injury while a puppy left one temperamental hip so impact sports are out of the question. Then, a misdiagnosed mastitis left her hospitalized with sepsis and undergoing emergency surgery, but this brave girl pulled through against all odds! She did though develop an attitude towards most female dogs and will become aggressive towards them. Must be only dog in household! Will be spayed prior to placement or we will pay for future scheduled spaying. A $40 adoption fee is donated to the animal rescue/welfare organization of your choice.
