Callie started her life off in Oregon. Somewhere along the way she moved to Texas. I don't know much about what happened in those 8 years but I can tell you how she came to me, foster mom. On one of our 100 degree days, my foster dad was driving down the frontage road and saw a pup on the side of the road. Boy, was she in rough shape. We were thinking she may have been hit but luckily that was not the case. Turns out she was having heat exhaustion. Whew! Black dog, 100+ on black asphalt, definitely not good. So she was brought home. She was chipped so we thought great, we'll get you right home. But no. Foster mom was able to track down the rescue that Callie had been adopted from at 12 weeks old. They provided all the adopters info. Unfortunately they denied ever having a dog. So funny how they ended up in TX the same time Callie did! At this point it didn't matter foster mom decide Callie was not going back. Callie lost Quite a bit of fur on her rear end in tail due to allergies. She also had a big cyst on her back. So callie we got lots of baths in some good medicine. The cyst is gone and the fur is growing back. Callie Bella is a great dog! She's great with the tiny little dogs and the giant big dogs. And even all the fuzzy little cats in the house. She loves a good car ride to anywhere. While She may show some signs of her age. She definitely is young and heart. She still likes to play with some of the puppies. And she enjoys chewing things so foster Mom has learned to keep her shoes out of the way! Callie has very nice manners when eating and playing, as well as when meeting new people. She would be perfectly happy to spend out the rest of her life, chilling on a couch and hanging with her person. She would love some car rides and maybe a casual walk here and there. So stop me if you have heard this one...... I was walking down the road, minding my own business when BAM! I was hit by a car!!! You haven't heard this one yet??? Well, sit back and relax and let me tell you my story of despair and hard work and now, REDEMPTION!!! Yes, I was literally minding my own business- I was searching for food, water and maybe some love in the mean streets... The car accident actually SAVED my life and now I am in my foster home and it is SO AWESOME!!! BUT, I have a forever home out there looking for a hard working, happy and SWEET fuzzy face and I am going to find you! I am such a good girl, smart and sweet and huggable. I have been through alot of recovery and am getting around great (see I was partially paralyzed for a month or two after the accident) but with the knowledge and love of my foster family I can WALK again! (Located in Southern California, but we adopt out of state, and can come to you if you can't come to us as long as travel costs are covered!) Meet Ranger! He is a purebred golden retriever. He is a year and 3 months of age. He weighs right at the 50 lb mark, and is a happy, healthy, and very beautiful boy! He is neutered, micorchipped, current on all vaccines, had a dental cleaning done, and had a wonderful overall exam with our vet who has cleared him to find a home all his own. He is house trained, and goes outside to use the restroom when asked to if needed. He is crate trained, and sleeps in a crate every night. He has free roam of our home during the day and is very well behaved in the home. He is leash trained, and does very well on leash and loves his walks. He is amazing with big, and small dogs. He loves cats too, as he was raised with them in his prior home. He is great with every single person he meets including children. He is a complete lover, and will make an exceptional companion to anyone life! He is a ball chasing, water loving, fun loving, goofball! He truly is the definition of what makes this breed as amazing as it is!
