Yes, I was literally minding my own business- I was searching for food, water and maybe some love in the mean streets... The car accident actually SAVED my life and now I am in my foster home and it is SO AWESOME!!! BUT, I have a forever home out there looking for a hard working, happy and SWEET fuzzy (a little gray)face and I am going to find you! I am such a good girl, smart and sweet and huggable. I have been through alot of recovery and am getting around great (see I was partially paralyzed for a month or two after the accident) but with the knowledge and love of my foster family I WALK again! Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato.
