Meet Gidget Joy (Gigi)!
Gigi is a 1.5-year-old, playful and affectionate pup bursting with energy and personality! With her graceful build and sweet demeanor, we think she may be a unique mix of retriever, Borzoi, and maybe a dash of hound — and whatever she is, she’s 100% joy.
This gentle, goofy girl weighs around 58 pounds and is always up for an adventure. Whether it’s a game of tag, a long walk, or just exploring the outdoors, Gigi is the perfect companion for active individuals or families who love to stay on the move.
Gigi is incredibly friendly — she’ll walk right up to say hello with a wagging tail and a big smile. She’s a social butterfly who loves people and gets along great with other dogs, too.
She’s currently working on her crate training and house training, and making good progress. With consistency and patience, she’ll continue to thrive.
If you’re looking for a sweet, athletic, and fun-loving dog to join your adventures (and your heart), Gigi might be your perfect match!
She is a very loving dog and will make a great addition to your family. We know you'll love her as much as we do!
Gigi was dumped by her former owner, and the kind folks that found her brought her to FWFP for a new beginning!

If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs — for them, one application will be fine. Because we have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, your application may be missed if you only apply once.

We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions finding our fur babies the most loving homes. Please do not apply if you are not serious about adopting.
We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Gigi the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us.
Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age-appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention, and travel expenses.
All our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for their transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
