Story
Charley is an easygoing, thoughtful girl who has settled beautifully into her foster home. After nearly a decade in one home, she’s taken this big life transition in stride; within minutes of walking into her current foster home, she was relaxing, following the household routine, and coexisting peacefully with resident dogs and cats. She enjoys being near her people, joining in on “pack” walks, and soaking up the simple comforts of home life. Charley is a friendly dog who seeks out connection, but she prefers a respectful, consent-based approach to touch. She’s shown that she’s most comfortable with gentle, predictable interactions and does best when her boundaries, especially around her neck and while eating, are honored. In her foster home, she’s been calm and easy to live with, including during mealtimes when given appropriate space. She is reliably house-trained with no accidents and walks nicely on leash, making her a smooth addition to a daily routine. Charley will thrive with an experienced, patient adopter who understands dog body language and is comfortable managing mild resource guarding and touch sensitivity. In return, she offers loyalty, companionship, and a genuinely sweet nature that shines when she feels safe and understood. She’s a great match for a quieter home without young children, where she can continue to relax and be appreciated for the wonderful dog she is.

Story
Some dogs wear their hearts on their sleeves, while others just need a little time. This sweet boy is still settling into shelter life and can be a bit shy, especially around the noise of barking dogs. When he's feeling unsure, he'll happily walk close behind his person, looking to them for reassurance.Once he's away from the kennel environment, his personality starts to shine. He enjoys leisurely walks, taking time to sniff and explore, and checks in with his handler often. He's housetrained, walks nicely on a loose leash, and politely ignores both people and other dogs while out and about.Toys aren't usually his thing—but hand him a shark stuffie and you'll see the cutest side of him! Watching him toss it into the air and catch it himself is guaranteed to make you smile. It's clear he's beginning to relax and come out of his shell a little more every day. This gentle, medium-energy boy would thrive with a patient adopter who will let him settle in at his own pace. Give him a little time, a quiet place to decompress, and maybe a shark toy of his own, and you'll get to watch his confidence grow into something truly special. Story
Dolly lights up the yard with a huge, open-mouthed grin and incredibly warm, dark eyes. She boasts a thick, beautifully plush coat up front that transitions into a temporary, slightly comical buzz cut on her rear end and tail. Rest assured, this patchy look is purely a temporary fashion disaster from clearing out some matted fur—her skin is perfectly healthy, and her glamorous fluff will completely grow back once she finds a proper hair stylist. She is a gentle, large-breed companion who handles her walks nicely on a leash and shows good early signs of being house trained. Dolly thrives on quiet affection, preferring to slowly lean into your legs for head scratches and reassuring pets. Because she is currently recovering from spinal trauma, she needs a calm environment with low activity, including no running or jumping for the next month to fully heal. This sweet girl is a great match for a peaceful home looking to provide a cozy, quiet spot for her recovery. Dolly is ready to settle into your heart—don't wait to open your home to this gentle giant.

Story
Georgiana is a gentle, soulful lady who is looking for a loving home after her previous owner passed away. If you’re looking for an easygoing, cuddly companion who is as content snuggled up on the couch as she is exploring, Georgiana is your girl! House-Trained & Polite: Good with house manners, calm, potty trained and respects boundaries. Great Travel & Family Companion: Great with other dogs and kids, a wonderful passenger in the car, easy on leash, and comfortable spending time home alone. Brainy & Food-Motivated: She loves puzzle toys (especially when stuffed with delicious salmon kibble and treats!) and learns home routines quickly. Georgiana is the total package: smart, affectionate, and deeply devoted to her people. She asks for very little - just a soft blanket, a good puzzle toy (and tasty snacks), a comfy couch, and a heart to love her back. Give this sweet senior girl the second chance she deserves! Story
Sharon’s story isn’t the easiest—but it’s far from over.At just 1 year old and 20 pounds, this Retriever mix has already shown how resilient she is. After being hit by a car, Sharon is now on the road to recovery and will need an FHO surgery to help her back leg heal properly. Despite everything she’s been through, she continues to show quiet strength every day.During her time in a foster home, Sharon started off a little fearful, but with patience and consistency, she began to settle in and grow more confident with each passing day. One thing that really helped her come out of her shell? Another dog. Sharon absolutely loves canine companionship and seems to gain confidence from having a dog friend by her side. She’s still recovering and taking things slow, but she’s already showing us that she wants to trust, to feel safe, and to belong.Sharon would do best in a patient, understanding home—ideally with another confident dog to help guide her—where she can continue healing both physically and emotionally. She’s been through a lot, but with the right support, Sharon has such a bright future ahead of her.

Meet Frankincense, the epitome of a companion dog. His sweet and gentle nature makes him a joy to be around. He's incredibly friendly, always ready for a cuddle or a playful game of tug. Frankincense is also mellow and loyal, forming strong bonds with those who care for him. He enjoys leisurely walks and is easy to handle, loving every moment he gets to spend with people. His favorite activities include getting ear scratches and munching on treats. Frankincense is also sociable with other dogs (play bowing with his friends), making him a great addition to any family. Frankincense can be shy and cautious when meeting new people, but is not pushy and is good with kids. He is looking for a patient person who can provide a predictable environment where he can settle in at his own pace. He is the perfect match for someone who enjoys a quieter bond and the reward of earning a dog’s trust. Frankincense has a recent medical history involving seizures, but he has been stable since starting his medication. Having a dedicated caregiver to help him decompress in a calm space will make all the difference as he transitions into his new home. Story
Timber is in boarding and safe but needs her own home. She is bonded with Cowboy, a Cairn Terrier. They are very close, sweet natured, great with all people and kids. Timber's only flaw is she needs to be fed by herself as we believe she was starved before. She is a lovely dog and so very gentle. Both dogs are kenneled together and need a little help with home crate training and learning the schedule for outdoor potty. We have all the info on reunionrescue.com Training Page. Ask about our lifetime holistic care program along with our foster to adopt plan. Call us today about Timber and Cowboy!
