Story
Charley is an easygoing, thoughtful girl who has settled beautifully into her foster home. After nearly a decade in one home, she’s taken this big life transition in stride; within minutes of walking into her current foster home, she was relaxing, following the household routine, and coexisting peacefully with resident dogs and cats. She enjoys being near her people, joining in on “pack” walks, and soaking up the simple comforts of home life. Charley is a friendly dog who seeks out connection, but she prefers a respectful, consent-based approach to touch. She’s shown that she’s most comfortable with gentle, predictable interactions and does best when her boundaries, especially around her neck and while eating, are honored. In her foster home, she’s been calm and easy to live with, including during mealtimes when given appropriate space. She is reliably house-trained with no accidents and walks nicely on leash, making her a smooth addition to a daily routine. Charley will thrive with an experienced, patient adopter who understands dog body language and is comfortable managing mild resource guarding and touch sensitivity. In return, she offers loyalty, companionship, and a genuinely sweet nature that shines when she feels safe and understood. She’s a great match for a quieter home without young children, where she can continue to relax and be appreciated for the wonderful dog she is.

Story
Hi, I'm Little Dude! I'm a year-old Golden Retriever/Lab mix and I recently had a sleepover with a foster family, and had the time of my life. 🎾 I met three resident dogs on my very first day and didn't miss a beat — no drama, just wagging tails. Turns out I really thrive with canine company, so a home with another dog (or a dog park bestie) would make me even happier. I'm already fully housebroken and slept through my first night in a crate without a peep — I know how to settle in and behave. During the day I keep myself busy with toys, and I'll happily fetch a ball and bring it right back for another throw. I've got medium-to-high energy, but don't worry — I chill out easily and I'm calm and relaxed once we're inside. A yard would be my dream come true, though, since I love to zip around and burn off steam outside. I'm looking for a family who'll toss the ball with me, maybe bring home a canine sibling, and give me a little yard space to run laps in. Think that could be you? Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and lifetime behavior support from Austin Pets Alive!

Story
Some dogs wear their hearts on their sleeves, while others just need a little time. This sweet boy is still settling into shelter life and can be a bit shy, especially around the noise of barking dogs. When he's feeling unsure, he'll happily walk close behind his person, looking to them for reassurance.Once he's away from the kennel environment, his personality starts to shine. He enjoys leisurely walks, taking time to sniff and explore, and checks in with his handler often. He's housetrained, walks nicely on a loose leash, and politely ignores both people and other dogs while out and about.Toys aren't usually his thing—but hand him a shark stuffie and you'll see the cutest side of him! Watching him toss it into the air and catch it himself is guaranteed to make you smile. It's clear he's beginning to relax and come out of his shell a little more every day. This gentle, medium-energy boy would thrive with a patient adopter who will let him settle in at his own pace. Give him a little time, a quiet place to decompress, and maybe a shark toy of his own, and you'll get to watch his confidence grow into something truly special. Both pups are family friendly and have many years of experience with a toddler and baby.Meet Luna, an English Retriever turning 5 in December. She is the definition of a family dog, loves to be around us, really enjoys pets, and of course her treats. She is sweet, caring and loves to be by your side. She is very gentle and patient with babies and toddlers and only knows love. She is leash and basic commands trained. She loves to go on walks and play with her brother, Olaf!Luna has a brother, Olaf, she grew up with and would like to be adopted by a loving and caring family that will take her and her brother: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/48419278-austin-texas-great-pyrenees-labrador-retriever-mix

Story
This is Diamond, she is an 8 year old female Miniature Golden Retriever Labrador mix. My husband and I are moving so we cannot afford to take her with us. She is spayed, caught up on her rabies shot, and has a metal plate in her leg from a car accident when she was young. Regardless of this, she is fully healed and has full mobility. She is an older gal so she may have potential medical conditions. Meaning we would need her to go to someone willing and financially able to care for her. Diamond’s birthday is Valentine’s Day which is very fitting given how loving and affectionate she is. She is a sweet girl who’s full of energy and loves attention, treats, and playing with the hose. Our top priority is making sure she finds a safe, stable, and loving home with people who will cherish her the way she deserves.

Meet Frankincense, the epitome of a companion dog. His sweet and gentle nature makes him a joy to be around. He's incredibly friendly, always ready for a cuddle or a playful game of tug. Frankincense is also mellow and loyal, forming strong bonds with those who care for him. He enjoys leisurely walks and is easy to handle, loving every moment he gets to spend with people. His favorite activities include getting ear scratches and munching on treats. Frankincense is also sociable with other dogs (play bowing with his friends), making him a great addition to any family. Frankincense can be shy and cautious when meeting new people, but is not pushy and is good with kids. He is looking for a patient person who can provide a predictable environment where he can settle in at his own pace. He is the perfect match for someone who enjoys a quieter bond and the reward of earning a dog’s trust. Frankincense has a recent medical history involving seizures, but he has been stable since starting his medication. Having a dedicated caregiver to help him decompress in a calm space will make all the difference as he transitions into his new home. Story
Timber is in boarding and safe but needs her own home. She is bonded with Cowboy, a Cairn Terrier. They are very close, sweet natured, great with all people and kids. Timber's only flaw is she needs to be fed by herself as we believe she was starved before. She is a lovely dog and so very gentle. Both dogs are kenneled together and need a little help with home crate training and learning the schedule for outdoor potty. We have all the info on reunionrescue.com Training Page. Ask about our lifetime holistic care program along with our foster to adopt plan. Call us today about Timber and Cowboy!
