Story
Meet Lucy! I’m a 5½-year-old Golden Retriever mix weighing about 85 pounds. I’m a gentle, affectionate girl who loves everyone I meet — dogs, cats, and kids included! I’m well-behaved, house-trained, and enjoy my walks where I can show off how nicely I stay by your side. I still have a playful side and love toys, but I’m also perfectly happy being a cozy couch companion. I’m calm, curious, and always ready for attention or snuggles.

Something along these lines love….* We are looking to rehome our beloved older family rescue dog to a loving, stable home. Due to increased travel required for a new job, we can no longer provide the consistent time and attention they deserve. This decision was made with great care, and our priority is finding a calm, caring family will give her to love and comfort she needs .

🐾 Meet Millie – The Sweetest Girl Looking for Love! 🐾 Hi there, I’m Millie, and I’m as sweet as can be! 💕 I absolutely love everyone I meet—kids, big dogs, little dogs—you name it! I just have so much love to give and can’t wait to find a family who will love me back. So why am I looking for a new home? Well, my owner’s boyfriend’s dog didn’t like me and wasn’t very nice to me. My owner made the tough decision to let me go because she knew it was for the best. And you know what? That means I now have the chance to find a family who will love me as much as I love them! I’m about 45 pounds, petite but full of personality! This sweet girl is much smaller than she looks, crate trained, potty-trained and good with other pups and children. Millie has lived with a child in a wheelchair and does just fine! Millie is about a year old and finds herself in an unexpected position. And its better for Millie to be in a home she can thrive in. She is medium sized, house and crate trained and while she still pulls on her leash, walking manners are improving quickly. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Meet Dot (Dottie) 🎀 Dot’s story began when her mother was rescued, and just a short time later, on Christmas Day 2024, Dot and her siblings were born safely in our care. Now 11 months old and about 50 lbs, this beautiful retriever mix has grown up in rescue — and it’s time for her to find a forever family of her own. Dot is as smart as she is sweet. She knows sit, stay, and shake, and she’s potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and eager to please. She’s wonderful with other dogs and children, making her an excellent family companion. Her favorite game is tug, and she’s always up for playtime before settling down for snuggles. Playful, loving, and incredibly loyal, Dot has spent her whole young life waiting. Now she’s ready to grow up in the comfort of a forever home. 💕 📩 Apply to adopt Dot: www.dallasdog.org/adopt A good Samaritan took Dot's mom, a stray, in and as soon as she knew she was safe she quickly delivered 10 little puppies. Story
Are you my forever companion? I'm Charlie, a sweet and loving pup looking for my perfect match. I'm a bit particular and enjoy my routine, so someone who understands and can accommodate that would be ideal. I can be shy at first, so a patient and kind partner is a must. No other furry friends or little ones at home, please! A cozy yard for playtime would be wonderful, but l'm not a fan of long walks or car rides. Let's cuddle up at home together! Charlie wants you to know even with his black fur and scars from puppy strangles, he is handsome, sweet, loving, smart and has all the same love and personality as the fluffy one over there! Charlie loves meeting new people; not around kiddos much. He is practicing his manners and learning his commands. He is fully potty trained and uses a doggy door. He knows the command sit and we are working on more. He loves taking walks and exploring the outdoors. He loves his ball and playing in the sprinkler. Charlie is king of the backyard sunshine! He loves to play but is a very chill, loving boy. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Story
Lucy (golden) and Jezebel (doxie) are a bonded pair who need temporary foster care (until approximately June 2025) as their owner is currently in physcial rehabilitation after a stroke. They are not up for adoption, but do need a foster home. Copilot Animal Rescue will provide food and medical care for the dogs. A foster home will need to have all other pets fixed and a fenced yard. These are sweet girls who are dog friendly but will need the safety of a temporary foster home. Fosters must be in the North Texas/Southern Oklahoma area so the owner and rescue can visit.  ##2314386##
