Story
This 2.5-year-old, 60 lb Shepherd mix is as sweet as they come! Fran is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves attention and will happily show off her tricks—especially if treats are involved! She knows sit and shake and enjoys learning new things. Fran gets along well with kids and cats, and while she can be selective with other dogs, she does great with proper introductions. She’s a mix of independent and curious, but always loves soaking up affection. On walks, she does well and prefers to stay close by your side.

Story
Beautiful retriever found as stray in the country. Nice family took her in and soon after she gave birth to 10 beautiful puppies. The puppies are now weaned and in foster homes ready to find their furever homes just as their sweet mom is. Since found as stray and desperate to find safety for her family she is a bit shy and takes some time to warm up but now that she can focus on herself we see improvements each day.

Ben checks all the boxes of the pickiest adopters: I want a low energy large breed dog ✅ I want a puppy that lets me sleep in and through the night ✅ I want a snuggly pup that’s also independent ✅ I want a classic family puppy that looks like the ones youd see in a tv show ✅ I want a puppy but not a lot of work ✅ I want a puppy thats everyones BFF ✅ He is seriously all these things and more. Since fostering this guy and we are obsessed. 🤩 everyone’s his friend but he respects boundaries, he’s a lump of dead weight snuggled in your lap, but will find a spot across the room and sploof on the floor. Great in a crate, sleeps all night, sweetest temperament, and this guy gives major puppy eyes. 🥺 Ben and Jerry two young pups found wandering a busy road near a park. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
This beautiful retriever was found as stray on Christmas Day. A good samaritan took her in and as soon as she knew she was safe she quickly delivered 10 little puppies. Adopting puppies is exciting and can be one of the most loving experiences. Puppies are young and cute, they are energetic, eager to learn, eager to please, happy, and exuberant. But it requires a significant commitment by their humans. While training puppies you need time, patience, consistency, routine and lots of love. Providing these essential elements helps them grow into well-adjusted, happy, and healthy furever companions. While we don't want to discourage anyone from adopting a puppy and want to continue to save more, we want the ones adopted to be successful in their homes. We have a large amount of resources available to help families navigate their lives with a new puppy. Story
Snickers is a 4 month old puppy who loves to cuddle on the couch and play in the backyard. He’s kennel trained and goes in when we say the word kennel. We’re working on basic commands and leash walking. He’s great with other dogs and our 1 year old son. A perfect family dog! This beautiful retriever was found as stray on Christmas Day.
