Story
If you’ve been dreaming of a Golden Retriever puppy, your search may just be over. Ronaldo is 3-month-old fluff ball, currently weighing a whopping 22 pounds, and appears to be a Golden Retriever mixed puppy based on his beautiful mama and her appearance, although as with all rescue dogs, his breed is simply our best educated guess. What we do know is that Ronaldo has been raised in a home where he has learned that life is full of love, play, and has learned great manners. See all of his curious, fun fluffy self here! https://youtu.be/MrCi077mhB0 Ronaldo is already using a doggy door and has mastered it. He does not have accidents in the house with it. You will need to retrain if you do not have a doggy door. Ronaldo happily shares toys and treats with his siblings. Ronaldo loves dinner time and waits patiently at his Foster’s feet for how ever long it takes to make every one’s meals. It is one of the cutest things to watch. No jumping on his legs, no barking, just sitting and patiently watching. He has not shown guard them from any of the dogs or people. You will often find him with a stuffy gently gnawing on them. I love how confident, playful, and curious he is. He wants to make sure he is not missing out on all the fun! He definitely gravitates towards the kids more than his siblings. Ronaldo has a wonderful calm, easy going personality. Every time he is held, he melts into you, and has a little grin. It never falters. Ronaldo’s foster dad spends time with him and his siblings every evening after work, making sure they receive plenty of playtime, affection, and positive socialization. Ronaldo did great meeting a senior female Pitbull and a small male terrier. He was inquisitive but respectful and then wanted to play with them. He is wiggly in a balanced way, he doesn’t overwhelm the dogs, people or children. He is the leader of his siblings and instigates play, he loves to play chase and tag with the other dogs. His sweet mama has the gentle, loving temperament Golden Retrievers are known for, and it’s clear these puppies inherited every bit of it. She has done a fantastic job of showing her puppies all the important skills and social cues a puppy needs. She has been raised alongside the foster’s personal large male German Shepherd and a 7-month-old baby, giving them an incredible foundation for family life. When I went to meet them for the first time, I had my 4 year old niece with me and I immediately noticed that they were not jumping on her, biting at ankles or clothes 😅 In fact one of the times that I went to visit I thought no one was home because there was no barking outside or in the house when I approached the fence or went inside! They are affectionate without being overwhelming, curious without being wild, and so far have shown themselves to be remarkably quiet puppies. They would much rather cuddle up beside you, trot around the back yard or gnaw on a toy than bark for attention. Their fluffy coats and sweet personalities make them impossible not to fall in love with. Whether they’re chasing a toy, flopping over for belly rubs, or following you around the yard, these puppies simply want to be part of whatever you’re doing. We have three handsome boys who look just like their beautiful mama and three gorgeous golden girl, each with that classic Golden Retriever charm everyone falls in love with. Be prepared… choosing just one may be the hardest decision you’ll make. Like every puppy, Ronaldo will continue learning as he grows, but he has already shown himself to be bright, eager to please, and wonderfully receptive to guidance. He is exactly the kind of puppy who makes raising a young dog feel exciting rather than intimidating or a drag. Ronaldo isn't just looking for a home. He is looking for the people he will spend a lifetime growing up with. The ones he’ll greet after school, follow into the kitchen, ride shotgun on road trips, and make laugh for years to come. If you're ready for a loyal companion with an exceptional start and an even brighter future, Ronaldo is ready to come home! Ready to make the first move? FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Lady! She is a friendly, 8-year-old, 79 lb Golden Retriever/Lab mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding her forever home here in WA! Lady is a very sweet dog that walks well on leash and loves to go on adventures. Overall, she walks well on a leash, but she is a strong girl and will pull on the leash should she see something she’d like to check out. She already knows basic commands such as "sit" and "shake" and takes treats gently. Lady is very smart and a quick learner, which will make training a breeze! She would love a home with a yard where she can explore and lounge! Due to her size and strength, we are recommending kids over 10 years old. She can be dog selective, so her ideal home would be a one dog household where she can soak up all the love and attention from her people. Overall, Lady is an awesome dog with so many great qualities and would love to spend the rest of her days in a loving forever home rather than a commercial kennel. She will make a great adventure companion and wonderful addition to any lucky household. Lady is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Binks! He is a 1 1/2-year-old, 50lb Golden Retriever/Pit Bull mix, who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. He is one big butterball of love! He is very sweet but is strong and can be bouncy and mouthy so he will need an adopter who is committed to working on his overall basic obedience skills with him. He is very smart, and food motivated and does well with training. He is generally well behaved, loves meeting new people and does well in a crate. He does well with other dogs, but mostly enjoys attention from his people. He loves to crawl and roll around in the grass and would love a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run, play and crawl. We are recommending no young children due to his bouncy nature right now. He is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Marvin! Marvin is a 2.5-year-old, 55lb Golden Retriever/Husky who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA after his owner could no longer care for him. He’s had a rough start, but this bright, goofy boy is ready for a fresh beginning and a forever home that will give him the love and consistency he deserves! Marvin is incredibly smart, eager to please, loves people and bonds quickly with his humans. True to his breeds, he’s a mix of playful and mellow: he can romp around like a puppy one minute, then settle down for a quiet nap by your side the next. He’s food motivated but surprisingly gentle when taking treats and not protective of his food. He’s also a pro at fetch and loves showing off his retrieving skills! Marvin is working on his confidence around other dogs. He can be wary and reactive at first, and with some dogs more than others. Because of this, he’ll do best in a home where he’s the only dog and with a patient adopter committed to continued positive training and slow introductions. As Marvin is still working through some reactivity around other dogs, he is not suited for busy city life or an apartment. We are looking for adopters that have a free-standing home and a fenced backyard for him. Some decompression time in a foster or forever home will do his nerves quite a bit of good and help nurture his calmer, confident side! He’s house-trained, sleeps soundly through the night beside your bed, and won’t stir until you do. Marvin does have some separation anxiety that his forever home should be prepared to work through, he thrives when he’s close to his people and in a calm, predictable environment. He would also do best in a home without cats. Marvin listens well to simple corrections like “hey” or “no,” especially when he’s tempted to sneak a peek at the countertop buffet. Above all ~ he’s a loving, affectionate companion who just wants to be near his people and be part of their world. Marvin has so much heart and potential ~ he just needs a home that can offer structure, patience, and a lot of love. He is not your typical ‘golden retriever’ despite his looks, and will need a rescue experienced family that can help him gain confidence and refine his training. In return, you’ll get a loyal, fun, and endlessly rewarding best friend! Marvin is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
