Story
Charlie got a haircut and says "PICK ME!" See Foster family update below... Charlie is a 7 year old, 65ish lb male Goldendoodle who is being surrendered to GRRAND at no fault of his own. He is looking for a home that has the time and patience to work with him on on socialization and behavior as sadly, he has basically lived his 7 years with no guidance and training.  Charlie is soooo sweet, and gets along with other dogs (German shepherds, dachshunds, etc) and doesn't mind cats. He is crate trained and is in it when he is left alone. He is a handsome, full size Goldendoodle. Charlie has lost 20 pounds and he loves to romp and play, so he would benefit from a fenced in yard or a family committed to giving him the daily exercise he craves. Charlie is in a wonderful foster home and they say: "If you're looking for a doodle full of love, kindness and affection, look no further! Charlie is a 60-pound goldendoodle with soulful eyes and a demeanor which seems to say, "thank you for being my foster family!"  Charlie adapts quickly - he naps with his foster brother Wrigley (an 18-pound Cavalier King Charles), and he delights in playing hide-and-seek with his human foster brother (a 6-year-old boy).  He puts his human foster brother to bed and greets him first thing in the morning!  Did I mention that Charlie gives the BEST hugs ever???  This cutie is great at "reading the room" - he knows when to play and when to be gentle. Charlie loves car rides and sits in the seat like a good-natured human! He also adores golf cart rides - they're his favorite!  He is a well-behaved dream in the grooming salon owned by his foster mamma! Charlie loves everyone he meets, both human and canine and has so much doodle-love to give his forever family!"    According to Charlie's past family, he is a happy go lucky dog who just fits in and goes with the flow. Charlie is currently known to be a counter surfer and that is a work in progress. Charlie has been groomed consistently his whole life and has been well cared for. We are still learning about Charlie, but if you would like to meet this handsome boy, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2610848##

Story
Gus is a male, 1 year old Goldendoodle puppy at about 67ish lbs, looking for a home where he can be the only dog, with no small kids, and a large fenced in yard to romp and play in and get his energy out. His family will need to be committed to the time he needs for exercise and direction as he is a very high energy dog and needs training on leash walking, and socialization skills around other dogs. Gus needs a home with no small kids because he has no idea how big and strong he is, and will knock them down at no fault of his own. (situation in current home) Gus is house-trained and crate-trained and is in his crate at night when he sleeps.  If you would like to meet Gus, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2699634##

Story
Nova is a 6 year old, 50lb, female Goldendoodle who is being surrendered because "She needs someone that can be with her more than I can. She has a lot of energy and needs a place to run around." Nova needs a quiet, experienced adult only household with no kids as she is leary of strangers and does not like a lot of chaos. She needs a secure fenced in yard for her to run and play. She is house-trained and trustworthy in the home when left alone. Our GRRAND volunteer says: "Nova does not seek much attention but will come back to me every once in a while to check in - quick scritch then she's back to sniffing. It is very obvious she would love to have her own yard to sniff around in daily. Nova is not a digger nor does she bark. Nova has beautiful golden highlights in her fur." (update Oct 2) Our volunteer also says: "She is independent, loving, sweet, calm. I discovered today that she likes to chase a thrown tennis ball but she is not obsessive about it. She likes to sniff and wander but will seek you out for pets and snuggles. Nova has excellent manners. She won't jump up on you and I've never heard her bark." Nova will need a home with a secure fenced yard so she can romp and play, and a new "bestie" in the home would be a bonus! Nova gets along well with other dogs and will need a family that can be committed to giving her the daily exercise and direction she needs to be a happy and healthy girl! Nova is crate trained but has proven to be trustworthy and not get into anything when home. She can be a bit leary of strangers, but needs the right person who can help her work through that.  We are still learning about Nova, but if you would like to meet this cutie, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2337447##

Story
Marcy is a very sweet 5 year old, Goldendoodle at about 60ish lbs, who sadly has lost her home due to the E KY flooding with her BFF Bingo. Now, Marcy came in with Bingo, and we did not think they needed to be adopted together, but we were wrong! Bingo went to a home without other dogs and didn’t do well. He was anxious and then started resource-guarding the mom against the dad, so sadly, he was sent back. When he returned to the kennel and was reunited with Marcy, they were both ECSTATIC to see each other and have been so happy since! Bingo is much less anxious with her, too, as he finds comfort and stability in Marcy. She is a real stable dog and is going to help Bingo and she loves him, too! Marcy and Bingo are best friends with playful personalities and lots of love to give. They balance each other well and would be an excellent fit for a foster home ready for double the fun and companionship. They are now in a foster home and they say: "Mother and son are affectionate, happy, healthy doggies. They have been relaxed, happy, and affectionate as soon as they arrived at my home. Having the two of them together is a plus.  They play well together in my backyard, racing around.  They come immediately when called!  House trained, no destruction. Marcy is low key, likes to lay around.  Bingo is energetic, eager to protect me from any action he sees on our quiet street. He does best with a rubber ball in his mouth to play and chew.Marcy likes soft, stuffed animals." They are needing an adult only household that is also on the calmer side. Bingo is very nervous around kids, and does not like lots of chaos.  Anyway, she gets along with other dogs and is said to get along with cats too, but GRRAND has not cat tested her. She is crate-trained and walks on leash, but her new family will need to have the time and patience to work with her and Bingo and giving them the exercise and direction they need to be good pups. We are still learning about Marcy and Bingo, so please check back for more info, but if you would like to help Marcy and Bingo get out of the kennel and start their new lives, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2313509##

Story
Macy was living with my aunt. She just recently found out that she had to move due to her landlord selling the house. Now that she’s moved into her new place she has realized it’s small, along with her being in her 70s, she’s reconsidering having the dog. My husband and I were fostering Macy through this process and do not have the capacity to keep her. She’s the sweetest dog ever. Just over a year old and LOVES to play. She’s really good with our current dog but he’s an older and gets overwhelmed at times with her. She’s loves to be outside and walks on the leash well. She can sit and shake but does struggle with jumping. Please let me know if you are wanting to meet and set a play date up. Louisville, KY.
