Story
Charlie got a haircut and says "PICK ME!" See Foster family update below... Charlie is a 7 year old, 65ish lb male Goldendoodle who is being surrendered to GRRAND at no fault of his own. He is looking for a home that has the time and patience to work with him on on socialization and behavior as sadly, he has basically lived his 7 years with no guidance and training.  Charlie is soooo sweet, and gets along with other dogs (German shepherds, dachshunds, etc) and doesn't mind cats. He is crate trained and is in it when he is left alone. He is a handsome, full size Goldendoodle. Charlie has lost 20 pounds and he loves to romp and play, so he would benefit from a fenced in yard or a family committed to giving him the daily exercise he craves. Charlie is in a wonderful foster home and they say: "If you're looking for a doodle full of love, kindness and affection, look no further! Charlie is a 60-pound goldendoodle with soulful eyes and a demeanor which seems to say, "thank you for being my foster family!"  Charlie adapts quickly - he naps with his foster brother Wrigley (an 18-pound Cavalier King Charles), and he delights in playing hide-and-seek with his human foster brother (a 6-year-old boy).  He puts his human foster brother to bed and greets him first thing in the morning!  Did I mention that Charlie gives the BEST hugs ever???  This cutie is great at "reading the room" - he knows when to play and when to be gentle. Charlie loves car rides and sits in the seat like a good-natured human! He also adores golf cart rides - they're his favorite!  He is a well-behaved dream in the grooming salon owned by his foster mamma! Charlie loves everyone he meets, both human and canine and has so much doodle-love to give his forever family!"    According to Charlie's past family, he is a happy go lucky dog who just fits in and goes with the flow. Charlie is currently known to be a counter surfer and that is a work in progress. Charlie has been groomed consistently his whole life and has been well cared for. We are still learning about Charlie, but if you would like to meet this handsome boy, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2610848##

Story
Gus is a male, 1 year old Goldendoodle puppy at about 67ish lbs, looking for a home where he can be the only dog, with no small kids, and a large fenced in yard to romp and play in and get his energy out. His family will need to be committed to the time he needs for exercise and direction as he is a very high energy dog and needs training on leash walking, and socialization skills around other dogs. Gus needs a home with no small kids because he has no idea how big and strong he is, and will knock them down at no fault of his own. (situation in current home) Gus is house-trained and crate-trained and is in his crate at night when he sleeps. Our GRRAND volunteer tells us: "This sweet, younger Goldendoodle enjoys hanging out with you in the yard. Gus is athletic, and is in great health. He is curious, eager to please, and will make a great indoor and outdoor activity companion." If you would like to meet Gus, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2699634##

Story
Stella (3 year old Goldendoodle weighing about 60 lbs) and her sister Daisy (5 year old Lab mix weighing about 60lbs) are BFF's looking for a home to be adopted into and stay together forever, as their owners passed away and they were taken in by neighbors. They tell us this about the girls: Daisy: walks okay on a leash but needs more practice. Daisy paces and has anxiety during storms. When we first brought the girls into the home, our senior dog did not like them and they would get in tiffs, but since they have been very calm with one another other and don't really interact with her much. When Daisy first arrived, she had a significant flea infestation. Since then, she has been consistently treated with flea/tick prevention and has settled in nicely. She is petite, sweet and after her initial excitement upon meeting someone, she is “chill.” Stella: is a sweet, playful dog with a puppy-like personality who would thrive in a home that can continue working on her training, confidence, and leash skills. She is crate trained, and deeply bonded to Daisy. We are hoping to find a rescue placement that will allow the girls to remain together and continue receiving the love and stability they deserve. Daisy and Stella have become very loved in our home and have made significant progress adjusting to a stable environment. The girls were very skinny when they were first "rescued" and their family has done everything to help get them back to a healthy weight and good health in general. The girls are crated separately during the day on work days and also any errand runs. They consider their crates as “safe zones” during the day and may enter even with the family at home. They have free run when they are home with the dogs. They ALWAYS choose to sleep together in an XL crate every evening. They will need a secure fenced yard as that is considered their "exercise zone". Stella is still young and has plemty of energy to burn. Our volunteer says "This is definitely a bonded pair of very petite dogs that adore and love eachother and can't be separated." If you are looking for a sweet pair of girls to bring into your home and have the time and committment to help them during their adjustment period, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org   ##2760088##

Story
Cooper is a 3.5 year old, male Goldendoodle weighing about 58ish lbs. This boy is looking for an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and direction as he is a young higher energy boy and he needs this for his mental well being! Cooper can come across as timid on initial greetings, but will warm up to you in no time. Cooper has lived with other dogs and as he is new to GRRAND, we are still learning about him and we are not so sure that Cooper likes dog toys and balls, but may enjoy a nylabone or similar. As we learn more we will update, but Cooper was surrendered from a home, and is said to be house-trained and crate-trained and is trustworthy to be left in the home. If you would like to meet him and keep him out of the kennel, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org   ##2737115##

Story
Shaggy is a 2 year old, 78ish lb, male Goldendoodle looking for a family that has the time to devote to giving him the exercise and direction he needs to be a good boy. He proved to be "too much" for his previous owner and they felt it best for him to be rehomed. They tell GRRAND  "He was 3 months old and weighed 16 lbs and was supposed to be a minature, and he now weighs 78 lbs. He is an awesome dog. Knows sit, place, down, and come, but he is more than I can handle." He is house-trained and crate-trained, but does not use the crate anymore. He has full run of the house when left alone and slept on the floor in his person's bedroom. Shaggy does walk well on leash, but when he sees a cat, or rabbit, he will pull, so some work on leash walking would be a good idea too. We are told that Shaggy gets along with other dogs and is an affectionate and well mannered boy. (along with completely adorable too!) We are still learning about Shaggy, but if you would like to meet him, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2756460##

Story
Nova is a 6 year old, 50lb, female Goldendoodle who is being surrendered because "She needs someone that can be with her more than I can. She has a lot of energy and needs a place to run around." Nova needs a quiet, experienced adult only household with no kids as she is leary of strangers and does not like a lot of chaos. She needs a secure fenced in yard for her to run and play. She is house-trained and trustworthy in the home when left alone. Our GRRAND volunteer says: "Nova does not seek much attention but will come back to me every once in a while to check in - quick scritch then she's back to sniffing. It is very obvious she would love to have her own yard to sniff around in daily. Nova is not a digger nor does she bark. Nova has beautiful golden highlights in her fur." (update Oct 2) Our volunteer also says: "She is independent, loving, sweet, calm. I discovered today that she likes to chase a thrown tennis ball but she is not obsessive about it. She likes to sniff and wander but will seek you out for pets and snuggles. Nova has excellent manners. She won't jump up on you and I've never heard her bark." Nova will need a home with a secure fenced yard so she can romp and play, and a new "bestie" in the home would be a bonus! Nova gets along well with other dogs and will need a family that can be committed to giving her the daily exercise and direction she needs to be a happy and healthy girl! Nova is crate trained but has proven to be trustworthy and not get into anything when home. She can be a bit leary of strangers, but needs the right person who can help her work through that.  We are still learning about Nova, but if you would like to meet this cutie, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2337447##
