Story
Rocky is a 3 year old, fun, energized and healthy big boy! He loves eating good homemade food and playing fetch! 💙 Rocky Loves playing in the back yard!! he Loves to be trained with treats! Rocky has some aggressive anxiety that causes him to randomly snap on you when casually touched without permission. My Heart Is Broken but I can’t keep him because I have small grandchildren, he’s always played nicely with them but lately I’ve been feeling like I have to protect them from Rocky’s unpredictable behaviors. After careful evaluation, consideration, professional consultation and tons of tears/emotions…I realize now that Rocky is not thriving in our home💔 I want Rocky to go to a loving new home with experienced dog owners that can handle him with Loving Care, Quality Time, Structure and that will feed him well. 🥹 I would prefer a Dog Trainer who loves dogs to Adopt Him!

Story
Meet Jemma: Jemma is about a 9 month old (as of February 5, 2026) Golden Doodle/Hound mix (best guess) that weighs about 41 pounds. A stray, pregnant mama dog wandered up to a woman’s barn in Mississippi and gave birth to this sweet, mismatched litter of cuties (Jubilee, Jemma, Josie, Jupiter, Jethro, Jagger, Jilli, Jeri, Jewel). The barn owner had been keeping the family safe and reached out to our rescue to help get them all wonderful forever homes. Jemma is currently being fostered in the Lancaster, PA area and would love to meet her forever family! Jemma is a shy pup and needs to have another furry companion to bring out her playful side. Jemma is fully house trained using a doggy door and crate trained. We would love for Jemma to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Jemma is getting up to date on her puppy shots and is spayed. If you are interested in loving on this adorable puppy and giving them a great home for life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. REQUIREMENTS: Another dog in the home. CURRENT LOCATION: Foster Home in Lancaster, PA 17602 Kennel License #17584 ##2520708##

Story
Meet Pru — an absolutely perfect 2-year-old goldendoodle who is searching for a forever home that will finally bring her circuitous journey to a happy conclusion.  We’re looking for the type of forever home that just feels meant to be — the right people at the right time for the most perfect dog. The forever home that makes you glad all the others didn’t work out.  We’ll tell you about Pru’s journey, and please read closely. Only apply for Pru if you can truly make a lifetime commitment because she’s already been passed around and let down too many times.  Pru was purchased from a breeder in the winter of 2023 by a college student, who then returned her to the breeder about two years later due to a move. Pru came into rescue in December and quickly found another “forever” home. But after a few months, she was returned because she was too interested in the cats (sorry, no cats in her future home). She then spent one night with an adopter whose allergies flared up, so she was returned again. Pru may be a doodle, but she sheds like a golden retriever and is apparently NOT hypoallergenic.  Pru is now in a committed foster home where she is quickly impressing her new foster parents with her very calm and loving demeanor. Pru is the type of gal that just goes with the flow. She’s highly adaptable and instantly fits in. She’s done amazingly well meeting all the dogs in her foster home. She very politely turns her head away from the annoying puppies who shower her with kisses and coexists beautifully with the older dogs. She gently sits and takes treats with other dogs lined up right beside her.  Pru is a super easy, turn-key dog. She’s fully potty trained and crate trained, although she doesn’t even need to be crated if you’re not home. She’s too mature to be destructive. She also knows all kinds of commands, including “shake.” She’s full grown at 55 lbs, but is very tall and fluffy. She has the low-energy vibe of the gentle-giant type while also being somewhat dainty. She crosses her front legs in the most precious way almost every time she’s lying down.  Pru enjoys going on walks and is an absolute dreamboat to walk. No pulling and absolutely no reaction to other crazy dogs. She stays cool, calm and collected no matter the chaos.  Pru loves human attention most of all, so a forever home with lots of time for her would be ideal. She is a shadow dog who will follow you everywhere. She loves sitting on the couch and cuddling.  Most importantly, she just needs someone who will make that lifetime commitment to her. She’s an easy and beautiful dog who is more than deserving of that. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Hazel is the sweetest girl with the most gentle heart. She loves cuddles, cozy naps, and being close to her people. She has been deeply loved and well cared for in our home. Hazel has a very docile personality. She can be a little timid at first, but once she feels comfortable, she is incredibly affectionate and loyal. She has lived with other dogs her whole life and does very well with them, but she could also thrive as the only pet in a home where someone has the time to give her attention and help prevent separation anxiety. We are hoping to find Hazel a loving family, similar to ours, where she can spend the rest of her life feeling safe, cherished, and adored.
