You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Gus – The Gentle Giant Gus is a two-year-old Great Dane-English Mastiff mix with a heart as big as his paws. Despite his tough start—surrendered for euthanasia simply because his former owners had no other option—Gus’s kind and loving nature shined through the moment he arrived at the shelter. Recognizing what a special dog he is, the shelter quickly reached out to rescue, and now Gus is on his way to finding a forever home where he will be truly cherished. This gentle giant has a soft, sweet temperament and thrives in the company of other big dogs. He’s house-trained, knows basic commands, and walks well on a leash. He’s also a great car companion, making every ride a relaxed and enjoyable experience. With his calm demeanor and affectionate nature, Gus is ready to bring love, loyalty, and a whole lot of snuggles to a family who will appreciate him for the amazing dog he is. Could you be the one to give Gus the forever home he deserves?Www.azmastiffrescue.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2025, 8:21 am

Meet Bernie! This stunning Merle Great Dane has left his days of living on a chain behind and is ready for a life filled with love, comfort, and cuddles! He’s a big, lovable guy who enjoys the company of dogs his size but would be happiest as the center of attention in his forever home. He’s met kids ages 7-12 and does well with respectful, patient humans who understand he might need a little time to warm up. Once he does, he’s a total sweetheart! Crate trained, great on a leash, and a fantastic car companion—Bernie is ready for adventure or a cozy night in. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a heart as big as his paws, he might just be your perfect match! Text Laura if interested 480-236-9669

Story
My favorite place to sleep: On the sofa, a dog bed or human bed or under the bed My favorite activity is: Playing fetch with squeaky balls and playing with my toys My favorite snack is: Anything I can get my mouth on I get along with / like: Being Alone I do not get along with / like: Big Dogs, Little Dogs, Cats, Birds I'm scared of: New people, it takes some time for me to warm up My foster parent(s) describe me as: I'm a shy girl but loving to my person. I'm happy and I have a wiggle butt!! I do need to be in a home as an ONLY dog. I'm ok with dogs outside of my home, but definitely no small dogs. I have a small growth on one of my mammaries that has been tested and is benign. Be sure to be diligent about picking up my poop right away, or I will eat it! My best day would be to: Getting to run and play for hours with a human whose arm never gets tired. Then nap for a few. Taking a nice walk and stopping to smell everything. Other tidbits about me: I am looking for my forever home with people who I can bond with. I'm a bit shy with people and need time to warm up to them. I'm pretty active for a Great Dane. I have a one-track mind especially when I'm playing. I'm treat and toy motivated. If you are interested in seeing Opal, please visit www.regaldanerescue.com and complete an application.

Story
My favorite place to sleep: In my crate or with my humans My favorite activity is: Eating!! My favorite snack is: Pretty much ANYTHING!! I get along with / like: Big Dogs, Car Rides I do not get along with / like: Haven't found anything yet. Not sure on small dogs or cats. I'm scared of: Football shaped toys!! Getting better with them though My foster parent(s) describe me as: I love hard and I play hard. I'm very smart, I pick up on new comands fast and I'm eager to please my humans. I love to cuddle and get belly scratches. I am quickly learning manners and boundries in my foster home (I'm not allowed on the bed or furniture yet). I am a fun boy who likes to play, and I can be a bit pushy and vocal when I want to play with other dogs. I like to drink out of the bathroom sink!! My best day would be to: Hanging with my humans all day. Morning cuddles followed by breakfast. A car ride to the park or anywhere! I love car rides, but I will try to sit in the passenger seat, or the back seat, or maybe the very back ... possibly all three spots in one trip!!! Maybe grab a pup cup on the way home. A nap together in the afternoon would be great, followed by dinner. Then more cuddles on the couch or play tug of war while we watch TV. I might try to get in your lap if you'll let me. Other tidbits about me: I will definitely need a strong leader who can set boundaries for me. I am a super sweet boy, and I haven't been destructive at all. I did really well when I got my nails trimmed. If you are interested in Tramp, please visit www.regaldanerescue.com and fill out an application.
