Story
Yuma is a handsome 5-year-old Great Dane in the care of Big Hearts for Big Breeds, and he’s the kind of gentle soul who quietly wins your heart. Neutered, potty trained, and kennel trained, Yuma is a well-mannered boy who does well with other dogs and children. Yuma can be a bit shy at first, preferring to observe and take things in until he knows he’s safe. Once that trust is built, his sweetness shines through — a calm, affectionate Great Dane who simply wants a soft place to land and a family who will offer patience, kindness, and consistency. Yuma is ready for a loving home where he can finally relax and be cherished for the wonderful dog he is.

Story
Timber is a handsome five-year-old neutered mantle Great Dane who came into the care of Big Hearts for Big Breeds alongside his younger brother, Oak. Though they are from different litters, they shared a home and were surrendered when their family was no longer able to care for them — a difficult transition that has led to a new opportunity for a loving future. Timber is a gentle, more reserved boy who takes a moment to settle in, but once he does, his sweet and affectionate nature shines through. He is great with people, does well with kids, and gets along nicely with other dogs. He has also been around chickens successfully, though pigs are not a good fit for him. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Timber is currently adjusting well in his foster home and continues to build confidence each day. While he and Oak share a past, they are in separate foster homes and are doing well independently, so they do not need to be adopted together. With a little patience and a lot of love, Timber will make a deeply loyal and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a kind-hearted Great Dane who will quietly become your shadow, Timber may be your perfect match.

Story
Stone is a stunning three-year-old neutered harlequin Great Dane who joined Big Hearts for Big Breeds in search of the forever family he deserves. With his striking coat and soulful eyes, this gentle giant turns heads — but it’s his loyal, loving nature that truly makes him special. Stone does well with cats and enjoys the company of other dogs. He can be a bit dominant with male dogs, so thoughtful introductions and continued structure are important. He would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion. Because he has only been around teenagers and older, Stone is seeking a home with kids 12 and up. Stone is kennel trained and does well with routine. He experiences some mild anxiety, so he will do best in a household where people aren’t gone for long stretches and where he has another dog for companionship and reassurance. With consistency, patience, and love, Stone settles in beautifully and forms deep, devoted bonds with his people. At Big Hearts for Big Breeds, we know giant-breed dogs like Stone flourish when given stability and understanding. If you’re looking for a breathtaking harlequin Great Dane who will be your loyal shadow and steady companion, Stone may be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
Wilder is a five-year-old Great Dane with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. He recently came to Big Hearts for Big Breeds through no fault of his own after his family faced a move and was unfortunately unable to take him along. While that chapter of his life has come to an end, we're determined to help him find the forever home he deserves. Wilder is the definition of easygoing. He is wonderful with kids, great with other dogs, and happiest when he's surrounded by people who love him. He isn't looking for adventure or excitement—just a soft place to land, a comfortable spot to relax, and a family to call his own. Some dogs arrive in rescue with larger-than-life personalities. Wilder came in quietly, carrying himself with the patience and grace of a dog who simply hopes someone will choose him again. Beneath those soulful eyes is a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be part of a family and share life's everyday moments. At Big Hearts for Big Breeds, we know Wilder's perfect home is out there. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate Great Dane who will fill your home with love, companionship, and quiet devotion, Wilder may be the missing piece you've been searching for.
