Gumbi was found in a park by a good sammaritan, who yhan brought him to the shelter. Unfortunately, the shelter was unsble to take the pup due to zip code. Thats ehen we walked into gumbi and founders said they can not keep him. Gumbi was in an emaciated, malnourished and with mange. We said yes in a heartbeat. Now, gumbi went from 11 lbs to 40 lbs in 2.5 weeks. With first set of shots and ready to find his way to a forever home. Gumbi has been through a lot, and deserves that one home that knows his breed and will fully commit to him for the rest of his life. We know that Gumbi is very velcro, affectionate, quick to learn and gentle with the little kids. He is observant and can be vocal at times. He has been kennel trained and sleeps through the night in his open crate. Still working in potty training, however, gumbi knows not to soil the crate. None of it matters it all changes once they are in a new home. Gumbi needs a home so he can grow up into the routine and life style of his family and learn and absorb it all. Gumbi is a gem, left to die at 11 weeks old. He deserves a home full of love! Our adoption fee is ro solemnly cover Gumbis expenses, break down will be given if necessary. Maya found herself in the riverside animal shelter very pregnant. She had her 12 puppies in the shelter, where sadly 4 passed away. Her and her remaining 8 puppies were placed into foster care within 24 hours, and thats where we started to see jsut how sweet Maya was. She was extremely thin, and we had a battle to get weight back on her, but she is a very healthy lady now! Maya is a big girl and is still learning that. Sometimes I wonder if Maya believes in her sould she is only 3 pounds, no 115. Her zoomies are wild, fast, and we encourage her forever family to always be ready to "brace" as she goes flying by. She loves attention, has the "dane lean" down to an art, and (though we are trying to break this habbit) loves to give hugs to anyone who makes eye contact with her. Maya is good with other dogs although she can be a bit selective at first She walks well on a leash, though it does need to be noted she needs a figure 8 or gentle leader to make walks managable. (We will teach you, its very easy) Maya is house trained, crate trained, and loves to play in water. She is NOT a fan of horses, small animals that move fast, or birds... She is currently living in the country, and LOVES to run around. Maya is an active dane, so her forever family needs to have a large yard to be committed to walks. She is living around two small children, and is very good with them, HOWEVER she is not aware of her size, and will knock kids over. I also don't think I trust her totally with food and small kids... Honestly, this girl has seen a lot of hard days in her short 2(ish) years of life. She was likely used for breeding, and has barrier issues if someone knew approaches. She needs work, and she needs a family willing to put the work in. It isn't hard work, but you need to understand that she isn't a polished pup, YET! Hi, my name is Kanga. I was found as a stray with my six-month old puppy who is my "mini me." My puppy and I were taken to one of the highest kill pounds around. The pound workers thought that I might be pregnant and indeed, when they spayed me, they found unborn puppies but they had all passed away. I was separated into a different kennel than my six-month old puppy which was very sad but luckily she was adopted. Thankfully I made it out later but barely in the nick of time. I am very affectionate with people, love to give kisses and to be close to people all the time. I am tense around other dogs but I'm not sure if I will warm up to other dogs with time. I appear to be beyond my adolescent stage as I don't really chew up items. I am up to date on all my vaccinations. Come to meet me today at a Santa Clarita dog park!
