Meet Storm! A spirited one-and-a-half-year-old Great Dane/Cane Corso mix currently living in Oakland, CA, whose essence is a whirlwind of affection, athleticism, and oversized puppy charm wrapped in a sleek black coat with stylish white accents. Storm is what happens when gentle giant meets high-octane adventurer! He’s already tipping the scales at around 140 pounds of love and energy, with big, soulful brown eyes that melt hearts and a signature move where he gently places a paw on your lap to ask for attention. This boy isn’t just affectionate, he thrives on connection and is happiest when he’s running full speed after a ball, exploring a new trail, or showing off his ever-growing list of training cues (he’s already mastered sit, stay, wait, free, bed, and quiet!). Storm is still learning the ropes, but he’s off to a strong start. He’s crate trained, neutered, microchipped, and currently attending positive-reinforcement training sessions (10 total!). His leash reactivity, barking or lunging at unfamiliar dogs, is a work in progress but he’s proving himself to be a quick learner with treat-based redirection. With familiar dogs and slow introductions, Storm can settle in well, making him a great candidate for a home where structure and patience are part of daily life. Because of his size, energy, and training needs, Storm’s ideal family would have experience with large breeds and an active lifestyle. A fenced yard is a must, but even more important is a guardian who won’t leave this adventurer behind. Storm is not a good match for cats or homes with small children, but he could thrive with older kids and adults who understand the joy, and the responsibility, of a giant, playful pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. LOVELY SMALL GREAT DANE/BOXER, 14 MONTH FEMALE FOR ADOPTION SPAYED/ALL VACCS Fawn and white "Chestnut", is lively, enthusiastic, and highly trainable. Learns commands, listens intently. 14 months old, 68 pounds, 23 inches at shoulder, housebroken, spayed, all vaccinations including Bordatella, microchipped, de-wormed, de-fleaed, vet exams, all complete. Gets along with ALL dogs in big dog park. No aggression. Very energetic and athletic, would love an athletic owner or athletic interim foster while awaiting her forever home. Too energetic for small kids or frail seniors. Her wonderful new dad (our friend) was hit by car in a parking lot, had badly broken leg, in hospital with multiple surgeries. He won't be able to have a dog for at least 3 or 4 months. He is trusting us to find a loving foster, and if a great permanent home is available, this would be ok with him too. Cane is one of mama Jade’s puppies we rescued from a homeless encampment in San Pedro, and he’s grown into the most perfect little 5-month-old Great Dane x Pit bull mix. He’s got a giant heart, a goofy streak, and the confidence of a dog twice his size. He currently lives with four dogs (10–50 lbs) and loves every one of them — wrestling, zoomies, tug, toy swapping… if there’s fun involved, Cane’s front and center. He’s also fully potty trained (at just 4 months!) and shares his home with three cats, who he treats with total respect. Cane melts for attention and will happily curl up in bed right next to his humans — his absolute favorite spot in the world. He’s silly, confident, and bursting with personality. Not shy for even a second, he truly believes every dog and every person is a friend waiting to happen. Playful, snuggly, social, and unbelievably well-mannered for his age, Cane is the whole package — and he’s ready to bring nonstop joy and laughter to his forever family.
