Story
Savanna is spayed and gastropexied, microchipped, current on vaccines, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She receives regular veterinary care and is in excellent health. She is loving, loyal, and a classic couch potato who adores her humans—especially children. She enjoys walks, chew bones, toys, and sleeping close to her people. She is vocal and protective of her home without being excessive. She is house-trained, crate-trained (though prefers space), good in the car, and walks well on leash with proper equipment. Savanna has no formal obedience training but understands basic household commands and is learning quickly. She does well with guests after proper introductions and responds to structure. Secure fencing is important, as she will explore if gates are left open. She would do best as the only dog due to recent jealousy-based aggression toward one canine sibling. She has never shown aggression toward humans or dogs outside the home.

Story
911 URGENT!  Atlas needs a hero by March 12th. This gentle giant needs a foster (for rescue) or forever home. We love this boy - the shelter can’t be his ending. Can you help? ATLAS #A549430 (Moreno Valley CA) Male, gray Great Dane. The shelter thinks I am about 8 years old. I weigh approximately 126.00 lbs. Staff notes: * Atlas is a gentle giant * Atlas loves affection * Atlas walks very well on a leash * Atlas appears to be potty trained * Atlas was very calm walking past other dogs Medical notes: 03/07/26 16:04 Rads (Right front leg and chest): Right antebrachium bony mass appears mildly proliferative, not very lytic in appearance. Not very classic of osteosarcoma but definitely cannot rule out based on imaging alone. Recommend incisional biopsy for definitive diagnosis. Medical rescue plea still needed for further work up.   03/06/26 17:35 Very sweet boy. 1. Body Condition Score 3/9- underconditioned- Rule out malnutrition vs. endo/metabolic vs. other 2. bony swelling on right front leg antebrachium- concern for a bony tumor/osteosarcoma. 3. pedunculated mass on ventral chest (likely benign vs. other)   The bony mass on right front leg is concerning as possible osteosarcoma carries a poor prognosis (6 months mean survival time with amputation). A medical rescue will be needed by end of stray hold or mercy should be considered.   Rx: carprofen- 100mg- 1tab by mouth twice a day for 10 days Moreno Valley Animal Shelter 14041 Elsworth Street, Moreno Valley, CA 92553 951-413-3790 PUBLIC EMAIL/GENERAL INFO: animalshelter@moval.org RESCUE EMAIL: rescue@moval.org Adoption hours:  Tuesday - Friday 10 am - 5 pm Saturday 10:30 am - 3pm (Closed Sunday-Monday & Holidays)

Story
Cora is a 1.5 year old sweetheart with a gentle, go with the flow personality. She may be a little shy at first, but once she’s comfortable, she loves being around her people and soaking up all the love and attention they’ll give. At around 60 lbs, Cora is the perfect balance of playful and laid back. She enjoys a calm, loving home but also needs space to play, run, and explore before happily settling in for naps and lounge time. She bonds quickly with her people and thrives on companionship. Cora does great with other dogs, is great with kids, and lives with cats (they’re not her favorite, but she tolerates them). She’s house trained, enjoys car rides, loves walks, and already knows sit, with plenty of potential to learn more. With room to roam and people to love, Cora will be a loyal, happy companion ready to become part of a family.
