You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.COURTESY POST: Henry, a majestic Great Dane, is currently in need of a loving and devoted home. Abandoned at a boarding facility in Fontana, Henry has languished in their care for over a year, his heart yearning for companionship. Despite their best efforts, the boarding staff has been unable to find him a permanent home. With a heavy heart, the facility reached out for rescue assistance, but to their dismay, no rescue has yet stepped forward to offer Henry a lifeline. Henry is a gentle and affectionate soul, yearning for a one person family who understands the unique needs of his breed. While he is dog-friendly and enjoys car rides and walks on a leash, he exhibits occasional resource guarding around his favorite person, thats why the boarding facility feels he should be with just one person and be an only dog. It's definitely a behavior that stems from his extended stay in the facility. The ideal family for Henry would possess experience with Great Danes and be dedicated to providing him with the training he needs to regain his confidence and thrive. If you have the space in your home and heart to welcome this deserving boy into your life, please do not hesitate to complete our adoption application. Henry's soulful eyes and wagging tail await someone who will give him the love and security he so desperately deserves.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 14, 2024, 10:23 pm

Story
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Grayson! Grayson is a 9-year-old Great Dane mix who needs a loving new home for his golden years. In May, he was rescued from Apple Valley Shelter and is currently being fostered through Melita's Dream Animal Rescue. His foster mom shares this rave review: "Grayson is a beautiful and goofy sweet boy. Despite his age, he is super spry and has puppy energy when you agree to play tug of war with him. He is a huge goofball, he can walk for days if you let him, and is also a couch potato when you've got other things to do. He loves his toys and is very loving and loyal. Grayson had a full senior exam at Crescenta Canada Pet Hospital (in Glendale) and is super healthy. All he has is a little arthritis which is common for for dogs his size and age, and that doesn't stop him from walking miles and miles if you let him! He has a bunch of fatty lumps which were biopsied and determined to be non-cancerous. His teeth are in really great shape too. Grayson is house-trained and fine when left home alone. He sleeps and waits patiently for me to come back. Grayson gets along very well with my own dog. He's not territorial around food or toys. Grayson would love a home all to himself! I've fostered 8 dogs in total and Grayson is by far my absolute favorite. Easy to handle, easy to love!" To inquire about Grayson, please call or text Shantal at 619-772-4895. *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assessed this dog medically or behaviorally.*

Story
Meet Sioux! Sioux entered Riverside County Department of Animal Services as a stray. When she wasn't claimed during the hold period, we scooped her up to become a Frosted Face on August 20th. She is 10 years old and weighs 78 lbs. This beautiful girl is friendly, sweet, and does well on-site in a play group with other dogs. Sioux went on a two-week Frosted Fling to enjoy extra love and care while we learned what she is like in a home. Her Fling Mom reports: "Sioux settled in and flourished in our home. Here are some highlights on her spectacular personality! * She loves pets and cuddles, but is also more than content with finding a soft place to relax. * She is an excellent eater! She is missing some teeth, but chows down on kibble regardless and is not picky at all. * She is crate-trained, but prefers being left out. She's been left out for up to four hours and has never had an accident! * She gets along well with our pup. She hasn't showed interest in playing with him, but they often end up laying next to each other in bed or on the sofa! * She sleeps through the night on our bed and has never had an accident overnight. * Sioux is the PERFECT walker!!! Non-reactive and she sticks right by your side. She is a big believer in "slow and steady and tires out quickly, but she handles 1-2 miles of walking a day in half mile intervals like a pro! Sioux is a wonderful girl! Honestly, we can think of no vices she has, and we absolutely loved having her in our home. She is a major cuddle bug and will totally be a lap dog if you let her. We are hoping Sioux finds her family soon, we're rooting for her!" Sioux is back on-site and ready for her forever home! Might it be with you? Stop by to meet Sioux and other adoptable Frosted Faces between 10:00 and 3:00 every day. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Story
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Lulu! 5-year-old Lulu is a beautiful, affectionate brindle Great Dane who needs a loving home after a divorce dramatically changed her living situation. She is stressed in her new environment, a small apartment with no yard. Her mom is gone up to 13 hours a day for work, and even with visits from a dog walker, Lulu is struggling to adjust to all the recent changes in her life. Lulu is a big couch potato who is very friendly, easygoing, and cuddly with adults. She loves her Lamb Chop stuffie that she carries around with her all the time. Lulu is in good health and already spayed. She goes on 2-3 walks a day around her neighborhood and also plays tug-of-war and ball for short periods of time. Lulu used to live with another dog and got along well. Since moving, she has become reactive on walks towards some dogs but not others. As a precaution, her mom doesn't walk her close to other dogs or take her to dog parks. It's possible that in a different environment with careful introductions, Lulu may again do well with other dogs. She has not been around cats. Lulu is a loving gentle giant who needs a fresh start in a calm home with outdoor space where she can stretch her long legs. She would do best in a home without young children, as their energy makes her nervous. Lulu would be fine with older, respectful children. If you have a Great Dane sized spot in your heart for this special girl, please contact Rachel via email: rachel.l.davis92@gmail.com. *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assesed this dog medically or behaviorally.*

Story
Tiana is gentle, calm and has a soft personality and is shy around dogs she doesn't know, but is also friendly with them, particularly smaller dogs. She takes direction well and walks nicely on leash. She is a beautiful dog who should do well in almost any home. On a scale from 1 to 10 gauging energy level, Tiana checks in at a solid '5', perfect for most families. She gets along well with children and has been tested with both a 7 and 13 year old in her foster family. Tiana is crated during the day when her foster family is out of the house and does well with that. She does have some separation anxiety which we are working on with her. During the day she is crated when her family is out. Typically, she wants to be right by her people when they are home but sleeps at night in her crate without issue. She does well on-leash, and enjoys a good high-speed bunny pursuit when the opportunity presents, but we are discouraging this and she is responding well. She enjoys napping on the shower stall floor in an effort to escape the summer heat.Tiana wants to be with someone all day long. Loves to be petted and cuddled. The longer she stays with her foster family, the better she gets on leash, interacting with people and children as well. She is still fearful of some things but, trust and reassurance are key with this little girl and she is making headway on reducing this issue. She seems to have overcome her apprehension with stairs and no longer needs to be air-lifted up/down them. If you would like to meet Tiana, please click the application link below to get the ball rolling today. Tiana is reviewing applications now so act quickly, you won't regret it.
