You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Barney â¤ï¸ Barney may only be six months old, but he's already proven that he's one tough little survivor. Shortly after entering rescue, Barney was diagnosed with Parvo and spent three weeks in emergency veterinary carefighting for his life. Through it all, he never stopped wagging his tail or showing everyone just how determined he was to make it. Today, this handsome Great Dane/Terrier mix is healthy, happy, and finally ready to find the forever family he's worked so hard to meet. Barney is everything you'd hope for in a puppy. He's playful, affectionate, curious, and always ready for his next adventure. He absolutely loves other dogs, does wonderfully with cats, and adores children. Whether he's romping around the yard with canine friends or snuggling up after a busy day, Barney is happiest when he's surrounded by the people and animals he loves. Because Barney is a recent Parvo survivor, he is not yet vaccinated. His veterinarian has recommended waiting until the appropriate time so his vaccines will be fully effective. He is also not yet neutered, and his adopter will need to work with MMAR to complete his remaining veterinary care according to our adoption agreement. Barney has already overcome more in six months than many dogs experience in a lifetime. Now he's ready for the easy part: being someone's beloved best friend. Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only. Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise. MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
