Story
My friend had originally rescued Drago from a poor owner, and then he ended up with my mother. He quickly became very loyal and loving to her and she adored him, but unfortunately due to health reasons, she is no longer able to care for him. Drago is a large, playful, energetic, loving and cuddly boy. He plays extremely well with other dogs and young kids. His size and bark (which he doesn’t bark often) intimidate others, but he’s harmless. He does have separation anxiety, and will be really sad when his owner has to leave, but this just consists of whining, pacing, looking out the window. He’s very healthy, in incredible shape, and is extremely strong. We’ve come a long way on leash training, but he has some more work to do. I wish I could keep him, but I’m too busy/not in a financially stable enough position to support him. I would love it if he had a big yard and other dogs to play with!

Story
Mando is a big ol’ cuddle bug! He LOVES lovin’s. He loves people, kids, walks, toys, cuddles, and kisses. Mando was found at a home as a 5 month old puppy on a chain with no food or water. The owner was approached and eventually surrendered him. This poor boy is now 10 months old and has lived in a shelter his entire life. Mando would thrive in a home and deserves one of his very own. He is wonderful with other dogs and is untested with cats. Mando is a 10 month old male Dane mix who is approximately 60 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Mando is a big boy and still puppy playful, so he may be too much for small children. Fence required. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org. If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes!

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peak your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=26, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://us14b.sheltermanager.com/onlineform_view?formid=46) completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 50-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will continue to perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Story
"Very adaptable and friendly big boy!" ALL LOVE!! Huey has gained weight and has had eyelid surgery for his "cherry eye/everted cartilage". He loves running around in the backyard at his foster home. He loves to grab sticks in his mouth! He loves other dogs and wants to play so if he goes to a home with other dogs, they need to want to play as well! He knows simple commands, and loves to approach his foster family for kisses, pets, and climbs on their laps! He's a very happy, social boy who has the typical goofy Dane personality. Loves to be by your side and doesn't like being alone. He has a checkup in 2 weeks-(March 12) for his eye surgery, and pending outcome will be ready for adoption soon!
