Story
Here we have Morgan, she was brought in as a stray and no one has come forward to reclaim her, so she is putting that all behind her and waiting for a fresh start on life. As her past remains a mystery she is looking on the Brightside of better days. Morgan is very shy and timid she takes some time to warm up to you but after that she is more relaxed and ready to shine. She walks ok on leash but she is still young and will benefit continued training so she can be the best she can be. We are unsure how she will be with others so as always, a meet and greet is required.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Paula (a.k.a Layla) is a snuggle bug of a great dane that needs a home where she can lay on the couch and watch movies and go on long walks/play with her people. HISTORY: Unknown PERSONALITY: Layla is very loving and aims to please once she is comfortable around you but it takes a little bit of time and trust building to get there. She matches your energy, if you are having a lazy day, Layla too, is having a lazy day. If you are energetic and going for a run, Layla too, wants to go for a run. She just loves being around people and doing whatever you are doing. She is a lazy dog at heart and loves napping on couches, beds, etc.. She is very skittish and easily spooked by loud noises and sounds, she often scares herself with her tail when she hits things like trash cans, railings, etc. but once she is comfortable which usually doesn’t take to long, she is good. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Running and playing with other dogs who will chase me and snuggling on the couch or bed with my people. MEDICAL ISSUES: De-wormed and treated, caught up on all vaccinations. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: She needs a very patient owner who will love her and take the time to build trust. She is shy at first to new people but after a little time she will warm up, unfortunately, it may be due to her background. Another dog would be great for her because she loves to play but she could also thrive in a home where she is the only dog as sometimes loud noises and sounds can spook her. She is hesitant at first but will pick one person to be her person and will slowly warm up to everyone else. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Has good recall but when she sees something of interest (like a squirrel) it is hard to refocus her if she is off leash she will run and chase it. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Important notes before applying. Adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Welcome to Jurassic Park! The young female Velociraptor (aka Great Dane puppy) has adapted to her new enclosure (foster home) and has been accepted by the inhabitants of the island. She has been named Henna for her velvety soft brown fur. After years of studying this breed and the adults in this pack in particular, our researchers confidently estimate; by the size of this young specimen’s footprint, that she will be an average to above-average sized female at 100+ pounds. Editor’s note: Thankfully the teething stage passes quickly. HISTORY: Sadly, Petland stores are still selling Amish puppy mill dogs. In March a loving, well intentioned family purchased Henna from Petland. The family loved their very lovable pup, they fed her the best food, house and crate trained her, gave her toys and beds and snuggles. Unfortunately, the dad has asthma and Henna’s dander was just too much for his body to handle. PERSONALITY: Henna is a typical young Dane puppy. She is happy and playful, she gives the older, grumpy dogs their space, but she loves to play with the younger dogs. She is quiet in her crate, eats well, is fully house trained, learns quickly and loves to be with her people. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: The absolutely best thing for Henna is lying in the shade outside. She also loves to play and snuggle with anyone who is willing. If there are other animals to play with, she will, but she also loves to play with her people. And she loves to play with both at once by including her human in her puppy playtime. Typically, by sitting on a lap while mouth wrestling or playing keep-away with a family dog. She is a pro at the Great Dane lean. MEDICAL ISSUES: None. Her hips were x-rayed on May 15, 2025; she shows no signs of hip dysplasia. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Henna would thrive in a loving home that understands Great Danes. She has been through a lot for a young pup and will require time and patience to adjust to her new surroundings and when meeting new people. Henna is a loving dog that really wants to trust people, give her a little time and she’ll be your best friend forever. **Puppy Adoption Policy: To ensure proper house training and socialization, puppies will only be adopted to homes where an adult will not be away more than an hour per day, per month of age of the puppy, up to 6 months. Adopters will be required to enroll the puppy into training and provide proof to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue within 6 months of adopting.  Certain large-breed dogs should not be sterilized before 12 - 18 months of age. If you adopt an intact puppy, you will sign an adoption contract agreeing to have the dog sterilized at your expense at the time your veterinarian recommends. Proof of sterilization must be provided to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue as soon as the procedure is completed. If the puppy is not sterilized as required, Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to claim legal ownership of the dog.  Important notes before applying.
