Available for adoption at: Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center 1854 East Pike, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 740-453-0273 Open Tues-F 11-5, Saturday 11-4, Sunday 10-3. Closed on Monday. Adoption fee is $130 which includes spay/neuter, combo, rabies, and bordetella vaccines, heartworm test and dog license. (Although some of the dogs come to the pound spayed or neutered, most do not. If you adopt a dog that has not yet been spayed/neutered, we will set up an appointment for the dog to be spayed/neutered before it can leave the facility.

Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home / Adopter: Parker’s ideal home is with someone who enjoys having a loyal companion by their side. He loves being around his people and is happiest when he can be part of the action. A family that will include him in their day, give him plenty of attention, and continue helping him learn would be a great fit for this lovable goofball. Likes: Parker thinks he’s a lap dog—don’t tell him he’s too big! “If he fits, he sits” is his motto. He plays with toys and is a super chewer. He will play alone, but he’d much rather have you play with him. He likes stretching out on the couch next to foster mom—it is his couch after all. He eats well. He likes walks and will stop to grace every tree, bush, and hydrant he sees. He is strong and sometimes pulls, but he’s easily redirected with treats. He’s very treat motivated. He wants to learn—and does. When he and foster mom come in from a walk, he sits right at the door inside the home to let foster mom remove his leash. He rides well in a car. He does really well in his crate while his foster mom is at work. He goes in his crate at night with a small treat, and as long as you sleep in the room with him, he is quiet and goes right to sleep and sleeps through the night. Dislikes: He doesn’t like being alone—he’s a people dog. He will whine and bark a bit but calms down.  Parker is a lovable goofball who wants nothing more than to be part of the family. This loyal, affectionate guy will thrive with people who enjoy a constant companion and will give him plenty of love, attention, and opportunities to keep learning. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, deworming, and the dog will be current on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. ##2847691##

She has been to daycare two or three times a week for a very long time so she is great with other dogs and kids. She’s never lived with a cat but would get along with one if there was one in the house. Loves to hang out under the kitchen table or in her crate but would rather cuddle on the couch. House trained. Loves anything outdoors especially swimming in the pool or lake. Loves walks and to be a companion. Walks good on a leash. She just wants to be loved. Easy to train. Her favorite trick is to bow. She is great with other dogs but would also be a great single dog. Of course, she’s spayed, current on all immunizations and heartworm preventative and is healthy.
