Breaker is a handsome Great Dane mix a little over a year old who is ready to find an active, committed family to call his own. At around 65 pounds, he’s a wonderful blend of big-dog presence and goofy puppy charm. Breaker is currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, but he can be transported to the Pacific Northwest and the Northeast United States for the right home. Breaker thrives on activity and he still has that classic puppy energy, so he’s looking for a family that understands the importance of positive correction, consistency, and continued training to help him grow into the best version of himself. With the right guidance, Breaker is eager to learn and please. One of Breaker’s favorite things in the world is going on adventures. He absolutely loves riding in the car and would be thrilled to tag along for hikes, outings, road trips, or any fun day spent exploring with his people. Water is another big favorite—splashing, wading, and cooling off are right up his alley. When playtime rolls around, Breaker is all in. He loves toys of all kinds and enjoys playing with dogs his own size. Most of all, Breaker wants to be with his people. Meet Jackie ❤️! Jackie is a beautiful 103-pound Great Dane mix who made her way to The Asher House after being transferred to us from the Hesperia Animal Shelter. When Jackie first arrived at Hesperia Animal Shelter, she was extremely frightened and overwhelmed. At 103 pounds, she may be a very big girl, but underneath all that size is a dog who has been through a lot of change and is still learning that she is safe. Jackie needs someone who understands that trust can take time. She deserves a family who will be patient with her, allow her to move at her own pace, and give her the consistency and reassurance she needs to continue building her confidence. Jackie is dog friendly and could enjoy having a canine companion in her new home with proper introductions. We have not had her around cats yet, so we don’t know how she would do with a feline friend. Because Jackie can be nervous and is such a big girl, she would do best in a home with older children who can understand her need for patience and space while she settles in. This big girl has already made it through one of the scariest chapters of her life. Now she’s ready for the chapter where she gets to feel safe, loved, and finally at home.
