Story
Rosie is a lovable mix of sweet and stubborn — in the best, most charming way. She’s a professional couch potato who could happily spend an afternoon cuddled up with her person, but she also adores being outside soaking up the fresh air. She can be selective with dog friends, so slow introductions are best, but when she decides someone is “her people,” she’s loyal and gentle. Her heart? Huge. Her attitude? Hilariously stubborn. Rosie’s favorite treat in the whole world is any kind of bread — if it’s carb-y, she’s in. She’s cuddly, affectionate, and full of personality. If you’re looking for a sweet, stubborn girl who will keep you laughing and fill your home with love (and bread-motivated enthusiasm), Rosie might just be your perfect match.

Story
Beautiful large mixed guard breed 23 months old. Loves outdoors and watching his perimeter. Loyal, smart, and listens. Happy but anxious. Obsessed with our cat and always chasing and pinning him down. Probably best he is not around cats. Does well with friendly dogs. Has never been around small children but I wouldn’t suggest it because he tends to resource guard. He does not like water. He enjoys praise and pats. He has never bit anyone but has nipped with resource guarding. He needs to be on a farm and working all day. He loves his frisbee. An experienced guard dog owner with a calm disciplined demeanor would be best.

Story
Jumping Jack Junior is a dog with a huge smile and the most handsome good looks ever.   He is a Golden/Great Pyr mix that is only one year old and weighs 61 pounds.  We are guessing his breed but he seems more Golden in size and then more Great Pyr in appearance.  This boy is joyous and couldn't be more of a free spirit and  with an inviting personality to come and play with him and let him love your family.  Junior found himself in a Texas shelter because his owner was evicted from her home.  The two small 15 pound dogs living there with Junior, also lost their home and are in the shelter.  Junior has been a great big brother to these small dogs and he is most certainly now willing and able to be a friend to other small dogs and animals if needed.  He has no aggression in his soul and he is NOT reactive to any new encounters with other dogs when on a leash.  He is passive and fun loving and adores meeting new people to become his friend.  He is leash trained and housebroken and just one of those gorgeous A+++ dogs that you really need to consider taking home if you like the bigger than life luxurious dogs.  He is a Jumping Jack Prince of a dog.... Junior promises to be one of your best decision when adopting a dog to be by your side for the next 15 years.  If you are interested please don't hesitate and contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   We can adopt him to Tennessee residents and also can transport him to northeastern families.  Just mention when you live when inquiring and asking for an application.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 19, 2025, 1:16 pm

Story
Meet Duckie! At roughly 11–12 weeks old, Duckie is softer than soft and as sweet as they come. He’s your classic puppy—playful, curious, and always ready for fun—so he’ll thrive in a home that can offer lots of stimulation, socialization, and playtime.Duckie came into rescue when his owners could no longer care for him. He arrived with what appeared to be bilateral eye abrasions, and unfortunately his right eye had ruptured and needed to be removed. His left eye, however, is doing wonderfully—he tracks toys, navigates like a champ, and currently just needs some eye drops. We’re not sure if that will be long-term, but at this time there’s no reason to believe it will be.His mom is a Great Pyrenees and his dad is some type of shepherd mix, and Duckie is the adorable result of their love story. We can’t promise what size he’ll grow into, but we’re guessing medium-ish.If you’re looking for a lovable little guy with a resilient spirit and the sweetest personality, don’t hesitate to apply for Duckie! He’s ready for his new beginning.Name: DuckieBreed: Great Pyrenees/ShepherdSex: MaleAge: 12 weeksWeight: 10.0Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. All vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  Not usuallyMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently:   Coming to New England on 12/12!     Puppy Adoption Fee:  $600.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee when applicableATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Cloud! Cloud is approximately 1 year old, 66 lbs currently and she likely has some Great Pyrenes! She was surrendered after the person couldn`t care for her. In her foster home, she is doing great with her house training, crate training and leash walking. She could go to a home with kids 10+, cats and other dogs. Her foster says, `Cloud! Oh my goodness! What an amazing girl she is! She is stunning to look at. She is a showstopper. I call her Cloud9 because she is just a dream dog! She is smart, agile, fun, sweet, cuddly, and playful. What more could you want?! She LOVES to play with other dogs. She will do tricks for treats lol she knows how to wait before crossing a boundary (especially with a verbal reminder to wait). She knows her name and recalls 99.99% of the time when called. She knows sit and sometimes she will do down. I would expect that she would be good with cats and other small animals since she was around chickens and geese with no problem. She is a perfect combination of playful and calm. She is an amazing cuddler.`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on January 2nd. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Misty! Misty is approximately 1.5 year old, 70 lbs currently and she is likely has some Great Pyrenes in her mix! She was found as a stray. In her foster home, she is doing great on her house training, but does not have a lot of experience with crate training and leash walking. She could go to a home with kids, cats and other dogs. Her foster says, `Misty is a very very special girl. The sweetest, most affectionate dog I have ever been around! She is calm and gentle and loves nothing more than to be right next to you wherever you are doing whatever you’re doing. She can be a little shy around new people at first but warms up quickly, especially when she realizes that they just want to love on her. She has just recently started learning to play with other dogs. She is also recently learning that car rides can mean a lot of fun such as trips to get pup cups! She can be a very typical Pyrenees at times needing to contemplate decisions before she actually does them lol She is smart and willing to please, sometimes it just takes her a minute to decide that’s what she wants to do. She loves treats and takes them very gently from your hand. Her most favorite thing to do in the world is to sit and watch TV on the couch or in the bed cuddled up next to her favorite human(s). She is quiet as a mouse so she makes the best and I mean the very best work from home companion. When she wants something like needing to go out, which is about the only time she will bother you, she will quietly whimper. No barking, no whining no scratching at the door. Just a quiet little sound to let you know that she wants your attention. She is a rare one in 1 million easy-going loving girl`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on January 2nd.
