Story
Cassie, is a German Shepherd and Shar pei mix. She is 9 years old. She is very sweet and humble .she gets along great with other dogs and cats I prefer not to be in a home with pit bulls because she was attacked three times .she is not aggressive in any way she's been exposed to fairly older kids but she would not harm any child she needs a big yard with a fence someone who would take time to play with her and really really love her she's not good with car rides she's not used to car rides. she's does fairly good on walk still a little nervous. she's very protective ,very playful ,she loves everybody she's a terrific dog. She loves sleeping on the bed n getting cuddles. I don't want to part w her. where I am currently reside ,she is cooped up all day it's not fair to her she needs room to run and play she still has a lot of good years on her she needs other companions pets kids to play with her I would just hope and pray that someone would consider taking her and really love her .

Story
"Courtesy Post" This is not a Street Paws animal, but we are assisting with placing a pet.  Toby was surrendered with his sister Bella. The two are a bonded pair that love each other dearly and need to be adopted together.  Toby is a sweet, friendly, laid back and kind pup! He is very bonded to his sister and loves spending time with her playing and cuddling. They need to be adopted together! They are a little shy but will quickly steal your heart. They are independent and loyal. They will make a wonderful, loving addition to your home and family. They get along great with other dogs and children! Looking for the perfect Duo? Toby and Bella are looking for their forever home! Toby is in great health and ready to be adopted into his forever home! Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150-mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  Adoption fee is $250 To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at  https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt.     This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet.  May 11, 2026, 3:31 pm

Story
Artemis has been gaining so much confidence lately! Her foster mom gave us this update:  “She’s finally coming out of her shell at home, following the other dogs around, exploring, and playing (huge progress from when she wouldn’t leave her crate/room). She’s also doing great on leash and trots along on morning walks with the big dogs like she belongs there.  She is SO silly, tossing her toys to herself, rolling around in the grass, and licking her foster sibling’s face to get her to play And she’s the gentlest girl, takes treats with the tiniest, daintiest bites. Even when she’s unsure, she just sits and looks at you like, ‘okay… just tell me what to do so I can get back to my business.’ And the best update, she had a playdate with another pup that wasn’t one of her foster siblings and LOVED it! Other dogs really help build her confidence!  She’s still a little shy with people, but she’s making such beautiful progress every day.”  And that’s all thanks to her amazing foster mom who we are so grateful for ##2728885##

Story
Spring has definitely sprung and Apollo is loving getting to experience it in a foster home This guy is getting SO much more comfortable on leash and his foster family plans on taking him on a hiking adventure next. He is still getting used to car rides, but the more he experiences getting to do something fun, the more enjoyable the car will become.  There’s something really special about watching a former stray discover the simple joys of home life. The little things we barely notice, like fresh air, flowers, or having a cozy place to rest, feel completely magical through their eyes. Those little “glitter moments” are what make fostering shy pups like Apollo so rewarding. And now Apollo is one step closer to finding his happily ever after in a permanent home! ##2728849##
