We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Everest is a sweet, gentle puppy with a fluffy coat and an even softer heart. At 14 weeks old and about 25 pounds, this Great Pyrenees/Husky mix is growing into a wonderful companion. She loves both people and other dogs and is especially gentle with children. Everest enjoys playtime in the yard, exploring the outdoors, and then coming inside to cuddle with her humans. She is doing great with crate training and thrives on routine. Everest is almost fully potty trained and only has accidents when her schedule isn’t followed. Because she loves to play and explore, a secure fenced yard and another friendly dog companion are required. Her beautiful coat will require regular grooming as she grows. They also receive a minimum of two distemper/parvo vaccines, medication for the treatment and prevention of intestinal worms, and monthly heart worm/flea prevention while in our care.
