Story
This quiet man is slowly learning his new day to day schedule and accepting meeting new people. What he would prefer is no other animals to be in his home. Unfortunately Ozzy has been passed around from person to person with no real structure. Very sad for any animal. What Ozzy would like in a home? To be able to lounge around on a comfy bed or couch, taking walks with his person and really just being a dog. What Ozzy would NOT like in his home? No other animals or small kids. We know Ozzy has a lot of potential to be an amazing boy! Ask about the him today! I AM IN FOSTER CARE! PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION, ONCE APPROVED, GIVE US A CALL OR SEND US AN EMAIL (INFO@ANIMALHOUSESHELTER.COM) AND WE CAN SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR YOU TO MEET ME! I am 89lbs, 8 years young, and l am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $75 A note from my foster family: Frank loves to be outside and enjoys going for long walks. He is also very smart. He is fully housebroken, knows the commands sit and paw, and loves to catch treats in his mouth. He enjoys tug-o-war and never looses! Frank has done well with some dogs primarily females close to his size. He would do best in a family with children 13 + and no cats. If you are looking for a walking buddy Frank is your guy. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up to date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present at the time of your appointment. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. The shelter is currently open by appointment only with an approved application. Please note, all applications are considered general and stay on file for 6 months. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, the adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown. We look forward to seeing you soon! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. She is a 4 year old, (mama to our O litter) Possibly Pyrenees/St. Bernard mix! Olivia is a really good girl. She is calm but still loves to play. She doesn’t jump up on people but greets everyone so nicely. She is warming up to affection but is a little cautious to it. Though she seems to be liking it more each day. She LOVES people and attention. She is amazing with our kids. Super smart and good with chickens and our cat. Completely ignores the cat. She is not prey driven. Gets along with most dogs! Very good watch dog. Sweet temperament. Please note: Olivia is Heartworm Positive and in treatment! Story
Vinnie would love to meet you! In fact, he loves meeting everybody! This hefty boy enjoys being around his family and meeting new friends too. He enjoys long walks, but really likes to lounge around outside in the sun. In the home, Vinnie would be best as an only pet because he does get jealous. Out and about, Vinnie absolutely loves meeting other dogs, cats, and even ferrets! Vinnie is house trained and is working on crate training, but would prefer a family where someone is home more often than not. Overall, Vinnie's such a great dog, and would be a perfect candidate to take out with you wherever you go- baseball game? Easy! Outdoor bar? Perfect! Vinnie will be your best buddy, and make new friends wherever he goes. He is the perfect wingman! Recently in November 2022, Vinnie underwent some tests due to chronic tummy issues and it was discovered he has a fiber responsive irritable bowel syndrome. Vinnie is on a special food to help, and this food does cost approximately $100/month. We know this may deter many families, but know Vinnie is so worth it and will find the right people willing to do whatever it takes to care for this special boy!   Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person.
