Their shelter was over-crowded and there was a threat of euthanasia for space. The rescue just could not let that happen without them having a chance at a wonderful life. They are fostering together with an awesome foster in Memphis where they are learning to trust and getting lots of socialization. They get along great with the fosters other dogs and would probably do better in a home with another pup right now. They are smart, quick learners and are going to make a great family companion. Once adopted they will travel via private transport (transport cost is $150.00 each) to a location closest to you. Hi my name is Annie! I am a 3 year old Great Pyrenees mix, I’m very loving and cuddly and think I’m a lapdog even though mom says I’m too large to be a lapdog! I love bones, and chews and of course dog treats, but I do not like toys at least none of the hundreds mom has bought me. Recently I began having issues with the other dog in our household, along with the cats, and younger children. I will growl when other dogs are around me, but only in my house, I’m fine when I see others when going for walks outside. Any time I am eating or chewing a bone or treat, or eating my food.. if a cat or the other dog is in my sight I will growl. I also need work with food aggression, I will only growl at other animals not people. I just need a little patience, and understanding and need to be an only dog to reduce stress, and no young children preferably kids 10 and up only. Please consider me as your furry friend.

Vinnie would love to meet you! In fact, he loves meeting everybody! This hefty boy enjoys being around his family and meeting new friends too. He enjoys long walks, but really likes to lounge around outside in the sun. In the home, Vinnie would be best as an only pet because he does get jealous. Out and about, Vinnie absolutely loves meeting other dogs, cats, and even ferrets! Vinnie is house trained and is working on crate training, but would prefer a family where someone is home more often than not. Overall, Vinnie's such a great dog, and would be a perfect candidate to take out with you wherever you go- baseball game? Easy! Outdoor bar? Perfect! Vinnie will be your best buddy, and make new friends wherever he goes. He is the perfect wingman! Recently in November 2022, Vinnie underwent some tests due to chronic tummy issues and it was discovered he has a fiber responsive irritable bowel syndrome. Vinnie is on a special food to help, and this food does cost approximately $100/month.
