Story
This is Bo! We got him from a rescue almost a year ago this August. He is a gentle giant and loves hard. He resource guards me with my husband only. He bit him. He loves kiddos and pretty much everyone but my husband, BUT only when me and my kiddos are around. He would lay with my husband when no one was home.  Looking for a single owner with no pets preferably. I just feel it would alleviate any possible fear of resource guarding in the future if he only had a single owner, as well as no other animals. My kiddos are young and do all the yelling and kid stuff. So sometimes he just gets stressed. He is 3, 80 lbs and looks like a golden! He is a Great Pyrenees/Collie mix. He is absolutely beautiful. He is kennel and house trained. He is all up to date on his shots and has no health issues. He is due for his yearly shots mid August. He is neutered. I know he would thrive in another setting. Searching for a companion for him❤️

Story
Meet Motown: The Big-Hearted Snuggler     Breed: Great Pyrenees / Shepherd / Boxer mix   Age: 7 years old   Weight: 120 lbs   Coat: Super soft (with a handsome patch and plenty of love to shed!)   Don't let his impressive 120-pound size fool you—Motown is just a massive lap dog at heart! This stunning 7-year-old mix is a world-class snuggler who thrives on affection and loves nothing more than being close to his humans.   Motown has a wonderful, confident personality and a playful spirit. His absolute favorite thing in the world is his ball, and he is always ready for a game of fetch.   Because he has a natural "alpha" personality, he does well with clear leadership, but he is incredibly polite, knows his manners, and is remarkably gentle when taking treats.   Motown does have a beautiful, thick coat that sheds, so his future family should be ready for some regular brushing (which he happily pays back in endless cuddles).   Whether he's chasing his ball in the yard or leaning in for a good snuggle session, Motown is ready to bring an enormous amount of joy, loyalty, and love to his forever home! If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Motown’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
We got Poirot to be a companion to our aging Malamute who had recently lost his friend, our 12 yr old German Shepherd. Poirot did the trick and seemed to lift our malamute’s spirits until he also passed away. Now Poirot is an only dog and we have full time jobs with 2 little girls under 4 yrs old. Poirot is a little too big and active for them so we don’t spend much time with him. We feel that at this point in our lives, we aren’t able to give Poirot his best life and are seeing if some other family has better circumstances with a lot of love to give.

Story
Are you looking for a 125 pound lap dog? What about a protector from the big bad wolf? And don't forget a gigantic hairball on four legs! If you know Great Pyrenees, then you know they are all of the above, if not more. Argus can be a real sweetheart with the people he knows but he does need time if he doesn't know you. Argus loves to be outside in any kind of weather and loves long walks and loves laying next to his favorite person getting lots of loving. I can't stress enough that he is a very big, very strong boy and it would be advisable if you have had experience with such a breed. If interested, please fill out a preliminary at odas.org/canine and someone will contact you to schedule your visit.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our adoption application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet Smee! Ahoy! I'm Smee, and just like my namesake from Peter Pan, I'm on the hunt for my very own Captain Hook... except I'm hoping mine comes with treats, belly rubs, and a forever home! Born in November 2025 and weighing around 70 pounds, I'm a big, goofy puppy with the sweetest heart. People say I look like a little cow—not just because of my adorable black-and-white markings, but because I'm built like one too! My size might be impressive, but I'm really just a gentle giant who wants to be close to my people. If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I LOVE water. Kiddie pools, stock tanks, puddles—you name it! My favorite pastime is climbing into a water tank, sinking down until I'm completely submerged, and leaving just my eyes above the surface like a little alligator. It's guaranteed to make you laugh. When I'm not making a splash, you'll usually find me carrying around a toy or convincing someone to play a game of tug-of-war. I get along great with other dogs and love having canine friends, but if you ask me what I love most, the answer is easy: people. I'm the definition of a loyal companion. I'll happily rest my big head on your shoulder or in your lap, soaking up all the love you're willing to give. Even though I'm still a puppy (which means I have the occasional silly puppy moment), I'm surprisingly laid-back and easygoing. I'm also working hard on my potty training, and I'm doing a fantastic job! I'm eager to learn and even more eager to make my family proud. If you're looking for a happy, affectionate, water-loving best friend with a heart as big as he is, then I just might be your perfect first mate. All I need now is a family to call my own. Could you be the Captain Hook I've been searching for?
