Story
Lola is a playful, friendly, and active pup with a big personality and an even bigger love for fun! She is happiest when busy chewing on her toys or proudly 'redecorating' her stuffies, so durable, hard toys are a must for this energetic girl. Lola enjoys her meals and special treats and does best with supervised mealtimes and continued positive, reward-based training to help her shine. She is selective with her dog friends, not a fan of cats, and does best with older children who can match her energy and respect her space. The perfect home for Lola would be one that embraces her playful spirit and enjoys an active, engaging companion. She will thrive with adopters who can provide structure, consistency, and fun enrichment such as walks, playtime, and training games. Lola would love to be the star of the show in a home with patient humans who understand her boundaries and cheer her on as she continues to learn and grow.Lola is ready and waiting to bring joy, laughter, and lots of tail wags to a loving home that is ready for her vibrant personality!Lola is one year old and weighs 61 pounds. The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member.helpingstrays.org

Story
Meet Róisín!    With a name straight from the Emerald Isle and a heart just as golden, Róisín is a little bit of Irish charm wrapped up in a fluffy puppy package. Born around 1/4/2026, this Lab/Dane/Great Pyrenees mix is already sprinkling a bit of luck wherever her tiny paws wander. At about 15 pounds right now, she’s a growing girl with a soft tan coat highlighted by beautiful black and white markings.   Róisín is as sweet as they come. Affectionate, smart, and eager to please, she’s the kind of pup who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Expect a loyal little shadow following you from room to room, always ready for a cuddle, a belly rub, or a cozy nap by your side. If there were a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, it would probably look a lot like this girl.   Like any young pup, Róisín is still learning the ropes. She’s currently working on house-training and will need continued obedience training as she grows. Thankfully, this clever girl is quick to learn and loves making her humans proud, so training sessions will be a wonderful way to bond (with a few treats tossed in for good measure).   Róisín has moderate exercise needs and enjoys playtime, especially with other dogs. She’s friendly when meeting new people and is ready to keep building her confidence as she explores the big world around her. Because she enjoys stretching her legs and sniffing out new adventures, she would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can safely romp and play.   With her mix of Lab, Dane, and Great Pyrenees, Róisín is likely to grow into a big, loyal companion with an even bigger heart. Give her love, guidance, and a little patience during her puppy days, and you’ll have a devoted best friend who greets you like you’ve just returned from a long journey across the Irish countryside.   So if you’re hoping for a little extra luck, love, and puppy kisses in your life, Róisín may just be the charming lass you’ve been searching for. :   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Meet Áine!    With a name inspired by Irish folklore and a personality bright enough to match it, Áine is a joyful little pup ready to bring sunshine into her future family’s life. Born around 1/4/2026, this Lab/Dane/Great Pyrenees mix currently weighs about 15 pounds, but she still has plenty of growing to do. Her striking black coat with tan and white markings makes her just as beautiful as she is lovable.   Áine is the definition of puppy happiness. She’s bouncy, friendly, and always ready to greet the world with a wagging tail and a playful spirit. If you’re looking for a dog who will greet you like you’re the best part of her day every single time you walk through the door, Áine has that job covered.   This smart girl is eager to learn and ready for the adventure of growing up with her new family. She’s currently working on house training and will benefit from continued obedience training as she matures. With her bright mind and happy-to-please attitude, she’s the kind of pup who will thrive with positive guidance, patience, and a pocket full of treats.   Áine enjoys moderate exercise and playtime, especially with other dogs. She’s friendly with new people and loves being part of the action. When playtime winds down, her absolute favorite reward is a good belly rub. If there’s a cozy spot on the floor and a human willing to deliver belly scratches, she’s one very happy girl.   Because she enjoys exploring and stretching her legs, Áine would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can safely bounce, play, and soak up the sunshine. As a Lab/Dane/Pyrenees mix, she’s likely to grow into a large, loyal companion who will fill her home with love, laughter, and plenty of tail wags.   Áine is ready to bring her joyful energy, sweet nature, and endless belly-up moments to a lucky family. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate pup to grow up alongside your adventures, Áine might just be the perfect addition to your pack.    If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 💙🌊 Meet Glacier — The Sweetest Sidekick on Four Paws 🌊💙 (1 year • 50 lbs • Male • Professional Belly-Up Specialist) Glacier has officially blossomed — and oh, what a glow-up it’s been. At 1 year old and around 50 pounds, this handsome boy has really come into his own. The shy youngster we once knew has grown into a confident, happy, tail-wagging social butterfly… as long as he has a dog buddy by his side. And that’s important: Glacier needs another friendly, confident dog in his forever home. He absolutely adores Cindy Lou and thrives when he has a canine role model and playmate. He’s not an alpha, not a bossy boots, not a “let me run the meeting” type. He’s more of a “you lead, I’ll happily follow and bring snacks” kind of guy. 🐾 Glacier’s Personality Highlights: • Super sweet and incredibly loving • Big fan of belly scratches (will roll over at impressive speeds) • Great with all other dogs • Loves the river — part dog, part happy little otter • Not a jumper (your countertops are safe) • Likely fine with cats — he’s never bothered the barn cats • Should do well with kids 4+ Glacier walks beautifully and naturally checks in with his person. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be near you — not in a clingy way, just in that soft, loyal, “you’re my safe place” way. And the river? Oh, the river is his happy place. Splashing, wading, exploring — he lives his best life with a little water and a lot of tail wagging. If you’ve ever wanted your own personal adventure buddy who also doubles as a cuddle puddle, congratulations. You’ve found him. He’s playful without being wild, affectionate without being overwhelming, and at the end of the day, he’s perfectly content to flop over dramatically for belly rubs like he’s auditioning for a soap opera titled As the Tail Wags. Glacier has spent too much of his young life waiting. But through it all, he has stayed gentle, joyful, and full of love. Now he just needs a forever home — one with another friendly dog, some outdoor adventures, and humans who appreciate a soft-hearted, water-loving goofball. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will splash beside you, nap beside you, and roll over for belly rubs at the speed of light… 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org — Glacier is ready to melt right into your heart. 💙🐾

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX. DOGS ARE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org 🎩🐾 Meet Mr. Banks — Proper Gentleman by Day, Professional Cuddle Enthusiast by Night! 🐾🎩 Yes, that Mr. Banks. Named after the famously structured and dignified character from Mary Poppins… and much like his namesake, this Mr. Banks appreciates a well-run household and a predictable schedule. At approximately 3 years old (DOB 3/17/2023) and a dashing 95 pounds, Mr. Banks runs a tight ship. 6:01 — Enter the room. 6:02 — Dinner, belly rubs, cuddles. He does want to clarify that while punctuality is appreciated, he is willing to accept those three items in any order. He’s reasonable like that. Mr. Banks has that “lovin’ life” mentality that turns everyday moments into grand events. A walk isn’t just a walk — it’s a parade. A car ride isn’t just transportation — it’s a red-carpet appearance. A trip to the coffee shop? Obviously he’ll take a puppaccino. He has standards. Despite his impressive 95-pound presence, Mr. Banks is all manners and charm: • House trained ✔ • Crate trained ✔ • Knows his basic commands ✔ • Does not jump on people ✔ • Does not get on furniture ✔ • Does not scratch at doors ✔ • Up to date on vet care ✔ • Accepts brushing like the distinguished gentleman he is ✔ He is extremely treat-oriented. You’ve never seen focus until you’ve seen Mr. Banks lock eyes with a Milk-Bone. NASA could study that level of concentration. He’s fantastic with people — tall, small, and everyone in between. He’s dog-friendly and enjoys a good romp in the yard or toy session. A home with two-legged or four-legged siblings? That would be, in his professional opinion, “the bomb.” And let’s talk adventure size. At 95 lbs, he is: • Perfect for nature hikes (nose engaged the entire time) • Excellent for camping trips (will supervise the campsite) • River-ready (cool water = happy Banks) • Large enough for elite-level cuddle sessions • Big enough to make you feel safe • Just small enough to still try to be a lap dog Mr. Banks would thrive in a home that appreciates: • Consistency (he loves routine) • A little daily activity • A dog who follows the rules • A companion who is equal parts adventure buddy and couch confidant He truly wants to be part of your life — the everyday errands, the weekend fun, the quiet evenings at home. Everything is an adventure to him. Even taking the trash out could be a bonding moment. If you’re looking for a well-mannered, treat-motivated, adventure-ready, schedule-appreciating best friend with a big body and an even bigger heart… Mr. Banks may very well be your boy. 👉 Fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org and let’s see if this distinguished gentleman is ready to clock into your life forever 🐾✨

Story
Meet Zoey, a 4-month-old Great Pyrenees mix with the soul of a tiny detective and the confidence of someone who already knows the plot twist. She’s super smart, food motivated, kennel trained, and naturally calm—practically unbothered by the chaos of daily life. Zoey prefers true crime documentaries or catching up on current events like a very small, very fluffy correspondent. Zoey has mastered the art of communicating her tone with a single look, often delivering subtle judgment that says, “Are you sure about that?” She’s also a fantastic listener and takes pride in being there for her people; acts of service is her love language, whether that’s supervising chores, offering silent support, or simply existing adorably. If you’re searching for a composed, observant, mildly sassy young lady who reads the room better than most adults, Zoey is your girl! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NAF/Dog
