Story
Demi Is Pure Puppy Magic and Sweetness! Demi is a 3 month old Great Pyrenees mix with a soft, lovable vibe that makes you want to scoop her up and promise her the world. She is curious, sweet, and at the perfect stage to learn what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family. Because Demi is a Great Pyrenees mix, she is expected to grow into a larger dog, which means she will be the kind of companion who fills a home with comfort and loyalty. Demi will thrive with a steady routine, positive reinforcement, and a family who is ready to guide her through puppyhood with patience and consistency. If you are looking for a best friend you can raise from the start, Demi is the one. Ready to meet Demi? Email hopefultailsadoptions@outlook.com today! Adoption Fee: Our sweet angel has an adoption fee of $500, which includes full vetting, spay surgery, microchipping, and a fecal exam to ensure a healthy start in their new home. Please Note: We require a $100 cash training deposit at the time of adoption. Story
Who can open their heart and home to Misty? Misty is an 8 yr old 68 lb great pyr/lab mix and through no fault of her own, the only family she has known since she was a puppy can no longer care for her. We need to find her a foster/foster to adopt home as soon as possible.  Misty does great with cats and with other dogs. She is 8 so she would appreciate a dog who respects her space and would be content to just be there (vs one who wants to play all the time). Misty would love a nice yard or patio to lay around in when it is nice, and to be your couch or dog bed buddy when it is too cold and you just want to curl up and watch TV She is spayed, microchipped, and healthy! She is housebroken and has very good manners If you can open your heart and home this season please consider Misty.. You can foster her for a few weeks to make sure it is a good fit. As we hope you will adopt, please complete our adoption application for now so we have it on file https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application Once you complete that we will be in touch!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 2, 2025, 10:57 am

Story
Missy is a Great Pyrenees mix puppy born around October 18, and she is the true definition of sweetness. This gentle girl is thriving in her foster home and absolutely loves having a playmate to share toys with or engage in some playful puppy wrestling. Missy will be an amazing dog with the proper puppy training, patience, and time to grow and adjust. She would do best with a family experienced in puppy training and committed to helping her build confidence as she matures. Because of her size and gentle nature, older children are preferred, and a securely fenced yard is required so she has a safe space to play and explore. With the right guidance and love, Missy is sure to grow into a loyal, confident, and devoted companion. Anyone willing to invest the time and care she deserves won’t be disappointed by this total heart-melter.   If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs.
