Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
She’s 6 yrs old and she was my mothers dogs and sadly she could no longer care for her so I took her in with 3 other dogs. My mother took nova in from the Indianapolis humane society when she was 2 and Nova is good with dogs smaller than her but we have one other large dog that she does not get along with and it’s her wanting to assert dominance. She’s the best human companion anyone could ever ask for and I hate to get rid of her but having to separate the dogs everyday and to make sure that one’s put up while the others out is just taking life away from the both of them and I just want Nova to be happy with her own space and her own humans.

Story
Marshall is a sweet loving giant of a lap dog. He is ok with other dogs, but struggles with food aggression, but only to other dogs. I can take his food from him and move him and he isn't aggressive towards me, but will snap at another dog that comes by. I love him, but am looking to move so I can only keep one.

Story
Gracie is a 4 year old (ish) Great Pyrenees or a mix with the smaller cousin of the pyrs, Maremma. She has been with us for over a year because she is PERFECT. She is a wash and go type of girl. She doesn't require a fancy groom, although she would sure love one! She currently lives with her foster family on a farm. But, Gracie is not a farm girl. She would love a very large, fenced yard to RUN! But her absolute favorite is our daily hikes through our woods. Gracie is not the kind of girl that would enjoy dog parks. She prefers non-strangers. She does well with dogs of all sizes. And would enjoy a playful companion dog! She also really likes cats and will gladly share a spot on her dog bed. Gracie is highly intelligent. Very easy to train. And when she doesn't like your request, she will do it anyway, but she has a funny tooth she shows to explain her displeasure in following your instructions. Housebroken 100% with zero accidents ever. Child safe. Due to her size, 8 year old and up would be best. Gracie is walked with a well fitting harness. She has zero recall and will run forever. Gracie is also not small animal safe. Kittens or puppies under weaning age are a no. She would love someone who works from home or is home most of the time. She is a people gal and prefers to be in the same room.     We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments.   We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. Our adoption process may be found on our website at www.bitofheaven.org Visits are scheduled by appointment only via emailing request to ownedbycaninesandlovit@yahoo.com   December 4, 2023, 8:31 pm

Story
Please read entire description. Scout's adoption fee is $175.  Scout is a 1 year old Pyr/Border Collie / Cattle Dog mix. He is house trained and very friendly and sweet. His favorite toy is his Jolly Ball and his favorite treats are carrots. Scout is used to a fenced yard and is good with children. Scout has no experience with cats. He has lived with another dog since he was born, but he has started to pick on him which is ultimately the reason Scout must find a new home. He would likely be best as an only dog.  Scout HATES to be in crates, but does ok in a mudroom.  Scout is heartworm negative, utd on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Apply for Scout at pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Adoption fee is $175 ##1683080##
