Story
If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Adoption Application.   ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis.  We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.  Say hello to Squirt, an 11-week-old mixed breed pup (born around 3/3/25), weighing in at around 10 lbs. This sweet boy is playful and curious, but also has a calm thoughtful side -- he likes to observe new situations before jumping in. Squirt and his siblings came to the shelter without their parents, so his exact breed is a mystery.  We suspect a Great Pyrenees mix, but one thing's for sure: he's 100% American Adorable! With his long, luscious coat, regular brushing will be key to keeping him looking his best. Squirt is working hard on his house training and will thrive with a patient, loving family.  He's eager to please and full of potential! Squirt has been neutered, received age appropriate vaccinations, and is microchipped.  His adoption fee is $350 and he is being fostered in Plainfield, Indiana.  If you're ready to welcome a calm, loving pup with a playful spirit into your home, Squirt may be your perfect match.  You just might be the one he's been waiting for! Story
This is Dora, she’s a female around 3’5 years old. She isn’t fixed as the rescue told us to hold off for a bit when we adopted her (last year) but she has most of her vaccines and got treated for Lyme disease. We are looking to rehome her to a loving and caring home. Someone who has patience and time for her. She’s good with kids, cats and dogs. She has a very calm and gentle nature. She is a rescue dog and needs a lot of love, affection and , she’s quite sensitive but has so much love to give. She loves running, especially in the snow! It would be ideal she went to a home with a fence as we all know great Pyrenees like to bolt! She does always work her way home but we try to avoid that from happening
