Story
DJ is a sweet, 3-year-old, Pyrenees mix, who came to us from the local animal control facility. DJ is house trained, he enjoys going for walks, he walks very well on a leash and he likes being petted more than he likes treats. DJ is an easy-going dog who just like to be with his people. DJ’s new home will need a fenced yard, as he needs to stretch his legs sometimes but, DJ not a high energy dog. Can you give DJ a forever home? DJ will love you forever! Applications can be found on our website www.starbrightanimalrescue.org or please e-mail sbanimalrescue@yahoo.com for an application for DJ. Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

We're the first light pups, because our mom's name is Sonrisa (which sounds like Sunrise)! Our fosters are still learning a lot about us but they know that our mommy is a Great Pyrenees mix so we'll probably be large-sized well full grown. We all have unique colorings and personalities! There are 5 girls and one boy. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
