Story
Handsome Ozzy is searching for his forever home and is available to meet you! He is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees, 2 years old, weighs 85 lbs, and is fully vetted and microchipped. Ozzy will thrive well in a rural setting, a quieter neighborhood with less stimulation from busy roads and frequent foot traffic. Ozzy is most content when there isn’t continuous outside stimulation from close neighbors, cars, dogs walking by or kids playing. When it’s quiet, he is so happy to just chill. He enjoys going for car rides and absolutely loves going for walks and walks well on leash using a gentle leader. He gets along with other dogs who he has established a relationship with and will play and romp with them. His favorite pastime is hanging outside (when it isn’t too hot) where he can enjoy his surroundings. Ozzy loves to play with his toys and often chews on his elk antlers throughout the day. We are looking for a savvy home, one that is fully fenced in (no invisible fence), with no children under the age of 16. Ozzy likes to play and do doggy things with people and dogs he knows but there are times when he prefers his space and personal downtime. Better said, Ozzy is affectionate and loving, but he does have the Great Pyrenees independence trait so his home would need to recognize and understand that about his breed. He can be aloof toward people he is meeting for the first time as he takes time to assess his surroundings. Ozzy is working on his food bowl aggression and has improved a great deal through training and consistency. His home would need to be mindful of this (especially if another dog is in the home) and continue working with him in this area. He does take food gently from your hand. We do not know how Ozzy is with cats so we would say no cats is best at this time. If interested in meeting Ozzy and learning more about him, please email adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org and please include a phone number where you can be reached. Please Note: We are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If you're interested in making a difference in a dog’s life, we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent.

Story
Looking to run with a big dog? Then Maui just might be an ideal match for you. He is a 5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a medium length tan and white coat. Did we mention big? Fully grown, he weighs 111 pounds. Remember, we said big. Maui is an easy going, medium energy guy who loves to lounge in a kiddie pool. Given his name, it would be no surprise if his preferred beverage is a tall Pina Colada, but we strongly recommend water instead. He is comfortable around children over the age of 5 and other dogs. He is a lovable goofball that enjoys playtime and hanging out with his people. He was previously living with a cat and unfortunately the relationship proved to be unsuccessful. He will need a home that does not have a cat as a family member. It would be best for him not to have small dog sibling since Maui prefers the company of larger dogs that will play with him. At his large size, boundaries and rules are a must for him. He will need an owner that consistently provides both for Maui.Maui has put in the hard work to officially say he is house, crate and leash trained. Way to go Maui! Although Maui is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Maui deserves to be in a forever home where he can thrive and be the outstanding pooch he is meant to be. All he needs is an affectionate home where he receives continuous training, socialization and exercise. And no Pina Coladas! Maui is waiting to meet you in a big, big way, so submit your application today. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Maui is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.January 6, 2026, 5:20 am

Story
We are a group of happy, playful puppies full of curiosity and joy! Our days are spent pouncing, wrestling, playing tug-of-war, and exploring every nook and corner of the house. Adventure is our favorite job, and we take it very seriously. Food is another one of our great loves! Any trip to the kitchen must mean mealtime, and we’re happy to let you know just how hungry we are—even if we just finished eating. We are great with other dogs and kids, making us wonderful additions to families of all sizes. Our mama is a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix, and our dad is a Catahoula Leopard Dog, which means we’re expected to grow into large, strong, and loyal companions. With our playful personalities and affectionate nature, we’re ready to grow up in loving forever homes that can keep up with our energy and big hearts. Could one of us be the perfect addition to your family? Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾🌞 Meet JoeJoe — Your Future Adventure Buddy with a Golden Smile 🌞🐾 JoeJoe is a 3-year-old Golden Pyrenees mix, weighing in at 52 pounds, and he’s pure sunshine wrapped in fur. Friendly, playful, and always up for a good time, JoeJoe is the kind of dog who makes every day feel like an adventure — even if that adventure is just a walk around the block. He’s great with other dogs, loves people, and walks nicely on leash. JoeJoe has that classic Pyrenees charm: sweet, loyal, a little goofy, and full of heart. He loves toys, enjoys playtime, and would make an amazing hiking or adventure companion for an active family. 💛 A Little About JoeJoe’s Journey: JoeJoe arrived a bit on the thin side and could definitely use a few extra “groceries,” but he’s doing fantastic! In his foster home, he’s learning all about mealtime routines, sharing with dog siblings, and how to play nicely, and he’s thriving. With good food, structure, and love, he’s quickly becoming a happy, healthy, well-adjusted boy. Now, let’s talk honesty — JoeJoe has a bit of an adventurous spirit. He’s been known to test boundaries, so he’ll need a secure, tall fence and limited unsupervised yard time. Think of him less as an escape artist and more as a curious explorer who just needs the right setup. 😉 Cats are currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged if needed. He was tested and did great!!! 🐕 JoeJoe’s Highlights: ✅ 3 years old | 52 lbs ✅ Friendly with people and other dogs ✅ Walks well on leash ✅ Playful, affectionate, and toy-loving ✅ Learning great manners in foster care ✅ Would thrive with an active family ✅ Needs a secure yard JoeJoe is the kind of dog who will happily tag along on your adventures and then crash beside you afterward with a big, satisfied sigh. He’s ready for a home that will keep him active, loved, and part of the family. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and get ready for a lifetime of fun with JoeJoe! 🐾💛
