Story
Meet Frost: A Gentle Giant in the Making! Hello, my name is Frost, and I'm a 6-month-old Great Pyrenees puppy weighing in at a whopping 66 pounds of fluffy goodness! While I may look big and brave, I'm still a baby at heart and learning that the world isn't such a scary place. When you first meet me, I can be a little shy and unsure, especially in my kennel. New people and new situations can make me nervous. But if you give me a little time, patience, and understanding, you'll start to see the sweet, gentle boy hiding beneath my cautious exterior. Once I'm outside and feeling more comfortable, my personality begins to shine! As a growing Great Pyrenees pup, I will benefit from continued confidence building, positive socialization, and leash training. I'm looking for a family that understands that trust takes time and that every small victory deserves to be celebrated. With kindness, consistency, and love, I'll blossom into the loyal and devoted companion I'm meant to be.Because of my size and my breed, I would love a fenced yard where I can safely stretch my long legs and enjoy the outdoors. I'd also be thrilled to have a confident doggie friend to help show me the ropes and remind me that life can be pretty fun! Due to my already impressive size, a home with older children would be the best fit for me.If you're searching for a gentle soul who just needs a little guidance and a lot of love, Frost may be your perfect match. Behind these fluffy ears and big puppy paws is a loyal best friend waiting to emerge. Could you be the one to help me discover just how wonderful life can be?Frost is ready to find a patient, loving family that will help him build confidence, create lasting memories, and become the amazing companion he is destined to be. Apply for this handsome boy today!!! Frost is 6 months old.If interested in Frost, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at: Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com.Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption:Thorough veterinary examination. All routine annual vaccinations, includingRabies, DHLPPBordetella (Kennel Cough)Heartworm TestFecal Test, DewormingMicrochipFlea and Tick PreventionHeartworm Prevention.Spay/NeuterAll dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Joker and Jedi are two brothers, estimated to be around 2 years old, who have been through more together than any dogs should have to endure. They were abandoned and left to survive on their own, relying on each other every step of the way. We believe Joker was even hit by a car during that time—but through it all, these two brothers never left each other’s side. Today, their story looks very different. Safe at the rescue, Joker and Jedi have shown us just how incredible they are. Despite everything they’ve experienced, they are outgoing, loving, and full of joy. In fact, their friendly personalities are so wonderful that they now help us socialize other dogs and show them that people—and life—can be pretty great. These brothers love spending time outside exploring and enjoying the day, but with all that fur, they know when it’s time to head inside! Once the temperatures rise, you’ll find them happily stretched out in the air conditioning, relaxing with their favorite humans. Joker and Jedi are the definition of resilience. They survived together, healed together, and now they’re ready for the best chapter of their story—a life filled with love, comfort, and a family of their own. After everything they’ve been through, these boys deserve nothing less than happily ever after.  Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. If you would like to find out more please email or call Diane at...diane@ulpr.org or 870-577-3744.   Please email us at  diane@ulpr.org  and request an application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 21, 2026, 12:14 am

Story
Meet Lola! She's a 9 month old pup looking for a new home. Born 11-19-25, this girl is part Pyrenees, part Mastiff and part Maremma but the only thing she wants to guard is you! OK, her bed, too - Point is that she's not a livestock guardian dog - she's an inside princess!!! She needs someone who is home as she's a bit unsure and gets anxious when left alone. At 9 months old, though, this girl is ready for training and playing! Email BanditsPlace1@gmail.com for more!!!

Story
Handsome Ozzy is searching for his forever home and is available to meet you! He is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees, 2 years old, weighs 85 lbs, and is fully vetted and microchipped. Ozzy will thrive well in a rural setting, a quieter neighborhood with less stimulation from busy roads and frequent foot traffic. Ozzy is most content when there isn’t continuous outside stimulation from close neighbors, cars, dogs walking by or kids playing. When it’s quiet, he is so happy to just chill. He enjoys going for car rides and absolutely loves going for walks and walks well on leash using a gentle leader. He gets along with other dogs who he has established a relationship with and will play and romp with them. His favorite pastime is hanging outside (when it isn’t too hot) where he can enjoy his surroundings. Ozzy loves to play with his toys and often chews on his elk antlers throughout the day. We are looking for a savvy home, one that is fully fenced in (no invisible fence), with no children under the age of 16. Ozzy likes to play and do doggy things with people and dogs he knows but there are times when he prefers his space and personal downtime. Better said, Ozzy is affectionate and loving, but he does have the Great Pyrenees independence trait so his home would need to recognize and understand that about his breed. He can be aloof toward people he is meeting for the first time as he takes time to assess his surroundings. Ozzy is working on his food bowl aggression and has improved a great deal through training and consistency. His home would need to be mindful of this (especially if another dog is in the home) and continue working with him in this area. He does take food gently from your hand. We do not know how Ozzy is with cats so we would say no cats is best at this time. If interested in meeting Ozzy and learning more about him, please email adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org and please include a phone number where you can be reached. Please Note: We are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If you're interested in making a difference in a dog’s life, we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent.

Story
Do things get better with age? If you ask Bandit that answer is a resounding yes. Bandit has been around the block, but he is by no means ready to call it quits on finding his perfect forever family. He has grown into a mature gentleman who will steal your heart in a matter of seconds.  The moment you meet him; he will instantly make your heart melt. Bandit is around 9 years old and is a great Pyrenees mix weighing around 55 pounds. He enjoys playing with other dogs and children. In his earlier days, he may have been higher energy but now Bandit appears to be a chilled boy with some playtime mixed in. He considers himself wiser in his older years and he feels that cats do not make good friends for him so he will need a home without a feline resident. Bandit is a boy who wants to impress and impress he does. He not only has good manners, but he also has mastered the skills of house, crate and leash training. Although he is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. When all is said and done, age is just a number and Bandit is confident that his best years are ahead of him. If you have that tingling feeling all over, then it is a sure sign that Bandit could be your next best friend.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Bandit is $300. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.August 22, 2026, 6:35 am
