Story
Great love and great friendships are staples to a great and fulfilling life. Put that in the form of pawprints and things cannot be better. Sisters are the cornerstone to a good times and great memories. Lucille and her sister Ethel are more than ready to spread cheer, love and great companionship to their one and only families. They are seven-month-old great Pyrenees mixes. Lucille weighs around 47 pounds, and it is estimated that she will be a large size girl of over 60 pounds when she is full grown. That is a whole bunch of dog and love to go around. For any house dog, a skill set is important for adaptability and Lucille is making strides. She has mastered her house and crate training. She aims to be a great companion, and good skills come with the territory. With more practice, Lucille will master her leash training as well, but she knows it is only a matter of time. It is important to remember that although Lucille is housetrained, accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Lucille will benefit from lots of friends, and she welcomes them in many forms. She is great with other dogs, children and adults. Come one or come all, Lucille is ready to put out the welcome mat. She has not had exposure to a feline since coming into rescue to that remains and unknown at this time. As with all puppies, Lucille is full of curiosity and wonderment and is ready to grow from adorable puppy to amazing dog with the right guidance and patience. She will need a home with someone who has the time, desire and energy to train and socialize her so that she can become the perfect lifelong companion. There is much in store for Lucille and her forever family, and it will be shared in stories for years to come. Happy times and great love go hand in hand when you bring Lucille into your life and home. The adoption fee for Lucille is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Snow is a pretty typical name for a white dog.... but for me it is like a sweet cool breeze! Because I HAVE a NAME and LOVE to go with it!! You see, I was living in a home that didn't want me up until I arrived at the rescue several weeks ago. So, I didn't get a nice name, or a bed or love and hardly any food :( I am still shy at first but my life has changed so so much that I can't help but love everyone now :) I especially love other dogs and would be best in a home with another loving, confident dog. I will just need the love I have been craving, so if I look like your next family member then you better fill out the adoption application soon!! I can't wait to meet you :D Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
We have more dogs being turned into rescue. We will keep our site update as they come in, are vetted and determined ready to be adopted. If you have never had a Pyr Puppy you need to read this : http://www.nepyresq.org/page/i-want-a-great-pyrenees-puppy-50.html The application process is to go to our website and fill out an adoption application form. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-47.html We do not accept INVISIBLE fencing for the following reasons: 1) Most Pyrs ignore the pain and go through it. 2) This is a guardian breed and this fencing does not keep people or other animals out of your yard. The Pyr could take them as a threat or be attacked. WE do not allow them to be tied out. It makes them aggressive. If you do not have a fenced yard then a fenced area would be acceptable. Most of these dogs are not a dog park breed. They bark a lot and can bother your neighbors.
