Meet Duckie!At roughly 11–12 weeks old, Duckie is softer than soft and as sweet as they come. He’s your classic puppy—playful, curious, and always ready for fun—so he’ll thrive in a home that can offer lots of stimulation, socialization, and playtime.Duckie came into rescue when his owners could no longer care for him. He arrived with what appeared to be bilateral eye abrasions, and unfortunately his right eye had ruptured and needed to be removed. His left eye, however, is doing wonderfully—he tracks toys, navigates like a champ, and currently just needs some eye drops. We’re not sure if that will be long-term, but at this time there’s no reason to believe it will be.His mom is a Great Pyrenees and his dad is some type of shepherd mix, and Duckie is the adorable result of their love story. Meet Ghost — the young, happy, wicked-smart girl who’s been winning over everyone she meets. Ghost is about a year and a half old and around 56 pounds, and she’s that perfect mix of goofy puppy energy and “wow, this dog is actually really easy to live with.” She’s fully house-trained, sleeps quietly in her crate, and has the kind of manners that make you forget she’s still young. Inside the house she’s curious, playful, and has learned the routine quickly. She’ll happily chew her toys, nap through the morning, and come alive in the evenings when it’s time to run, play, and be her fun little self. She’s a blast with other dogs — the type who loves to wrestle, chase, get bowled over, and dish it back out. She’ll gently herd her dog friends by tugging their collars or tails, but she’s respectful, easy to redirect, and reads other dogs well. Cats? She tries to love them a little more than they’d like, but she’s polite and means well. She shares her food, lets the cat snack out of her bowl, and has zero guarding issues. Ghost thrives around people. Adults, kids, houseguests — she welcomes everyone with an open heart. She’s affectionate, cuddly, and loves being close to her humans. She handled a three-day road trip like a total champ, from hotels to long drives, never making a peep. Car rides are her thing. Water too… she loves splashing and lounging but won’t try to launch herself into your pool. She’s smart. Like very smart. She knows sit, down, come, and is working on stay. She wants to please and learns fast. High-energy in the best way — the kind of dog who keeps up on adventures but knows when to settle once the excitement is over. Meet Riley, a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees/Australian shepherd mix looking for a soft spot to land — perhaps a home with a nice comfy couch where she can get all the human cuddles her heart desires. Riley is 80 lbs of total love bug! She loves everyone she meets, including children and other dogs. The word stranger just isn’t in her vocabulary. Riley is crate trained and potty trained, and she is ok if her family has full-time jobs and can’t be with her all day long. She’s doesn’t expect much. What we would love for Riley is a somewhat active home with a fenced-in yard. Riley would love to go on the occasional hike or neighborhood walk. While Riley is basically a turn-key dog, she could use some simple basic-manners training. She gets very excited to see new people and doesn’t realize her size, but she quickly becomes a gentle giant after the initial excitement. She also needs an owner willing to spend some time or money on grooming. She has a beautiful fluffy coat that could get matted with no maintenance.
