Jonah is a 4 year old Great Pyrenees looking for a very specific and committed forever home. He is a big, loving boy who needs an experienced adopter that understands guardian breeds and is willing to manage his quirks and advocate for his needs. Jonah requires a ranch style home with minimal stairs and a fully fenced yard. He needs easy, direct access to the outdoors without relying on walks for potty breaks. While he does enjoy playing with other dogs, a calm, easygoing Pyrenees or similar dog would be the best match, as his play style can be a bit much. He is reactive to other dogs while on leash but can coexist just fine with dogs in neutral environments like the groomer. True to his breed, Jonah has some guarding tendencies. He does not guard his food bowl, treats, or toys and allows handling while eating, but he will guard items he has stolen or discovered, especially anything he considers high value. Because of this, management and experience are key. Jonah cannot live with cats and has a very strong prey drive. If he were to catch something, he is unlikely to give it up. Jonah is stubborn on walks and can be unruly when excited to meet new people. He is submissive but lacks manners when overstimulated, so ongoing structure and consistency are important. He is not a fan of car rides and benefits from having another dog to help him feel confident getting in. Despite all of this, Jonah is an absolute love with his people. He is a huge snuggler, craves attention, and bonds deeply with those he trusts. He does well in a crate and settles nicely when given clear expectations. Jonah is not for a first time dog owner, but for the right experienced home willing to commit to him fully, he will be an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. Meet Koda! 🐾 Koda is a handsome 3.5-year-old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing approximately 90 pounds, with an even bigger heart! This gentle giant is an absolute sweetheart. He’s incredibly loving, affectionate, and happiest when he’s right beside his people, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. He’ll happily lie next to you for hours if you’re willing to keep petting him! One of the sweetest things about Koda is how much he adores children. He has such a loving, protective nature and takes his job of watching over the little ones very seriously. Whether they’re playing outside or just hanging around, Koda loves keeping an eye on them and making sure everyone is safe. It’s truly precious to see how devoted he is to his little humans! Koda has a moderate energy level. He enjoys walks, playing, and the occasional burst of zoomies, but he’s just as happy lounging around, observing everything going on around him, and spending time with his family. He gets along well with other friendly dogs, although he will stand his ground if another dog behaves aggressively toward him. He would do best with friendly, well-mannered canine companions. Koda is crate trained, house trained, neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to find his forever home. Meet Nugget!Both physically and spiritually, Nugget is the world's biggest baby.At only about eight months old, Nugget is weighing in at just over 75lbs which is no surprise considering he's an Anatolian shepherd mix. He is big and he is fluffy and he is ridiculously cute.And, unfortunately, he wasn't given the greatest start to life.Nugget is severely lacking in confidence. This means that, despite how big he is, the world is even bigger and scarier. If we had to guess, his socialization window as a tiny bean just...was not utilized appropriately so he's nervous about most things at first. Fortunately, he's a gentle soul who is actually very, very sweet with people. The more comfortable he gets, the more we're starting to see that goofy puppy energy come out and it's amazing to watch.Nugget would actually benefit from having another dog in the home to...well, show him how to be a dog! A confident, chill dog friend would be something that he could watch and learn from - they're not freaking out, so he shouldn't be freaking out, they know this is a safe place, so he knows it's a safe place. He'll also need someone patient but confident - if YOU'RE nervous, he's going to be nervous. If you're calm and steady, he'll take to you in no time at all. Nugget LOVES tennis balls, loves other dogs, and loves the company of the people he's learned to trust. He's definitely a silly puppy once he gets going with a ball and he's all zoomies, happy slaps, and play bows. He is, as you can imagine, absolutely terrified of cats. We would prefer an adult only home, however teenagers would most likely be fine.
