Story
Meet Claudia! Claudia is a one-year-old, 50-pound Pyranees/lab mix that deserves the absolute best family there is! If there was ever a pup that was worthy of being spoiled for the rest of her days, it's Claudia. She survived a horrific hoarding situation and we want to make sure the family that adopts her will give her the world! When she first arrived at GLDR, she was very unsure of herself, but in just a short time, she is learning to trust and we are seeing her enjoy being a pup! This timid girl will make you smile with her adorable tippy taps when she's excited. She's super food-motivated and takes her treats nicely. Claudia already knows how to sit and when she gives you that submissive smile of hers, you'll wonder just how you lived without her. Claudia will thrive in a home where she will receive daily exercise and has a yard to enjoy. She will needs a family that will provide her with lots of encouragment and be patient while she navigates her new home. Positive reinforcement training with Claudia will be an excellent way to form a bond with this lovely lady. Based on our evaluations, we feel Claudia will do best in an active but predictable home with adults or families with kids ages 12 and up. She may have the capacity to live with other dogs and she enjoys the company of her kennel mates. We are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. If you'd like to be the one to show Claudia just how good life can be, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for this darling, deserving gal!

Story
Cleo is very intelligent, kind and loving. I got Cleo from a breeder in Indiana in September 2023, five months after she was born. She is house trained and very well behaved. We love her and this is one of the hardest things we have to do and the only reason we have to give her up is because our baby is allergic and we don't have any other option.

Story
After 3 months in rescue Isla is thrilled to report she just had her 3rd and final heartworm treatment! Isla is a super chill 2-3yr old girl weighing about 80lbs. Best guess is she's a Great Pyrenees mix. Isla is used to the chaos of kids and foster kitties running around and is super gentle with all of them. All she really wants in life is a nice bone to chew and an endless supply of pets. If your looking for a couch potato and cuddle bug this is your girl! Once shes off the required exercise restrictions she'd love to have a yard to explore and enjoy the occasional bought of zoomies in. She does take her guarding instinct seriously and will alert you to the presence of the neighbors or other animals. She would do best in a country setting away from the chaos of city living.  Isla would prefer to be your one and only dog love. While she enjoys the company of dogs, and is friendly with others outside the home she likes her own space. She is quite attached to the safe space of her crate and gets upset of other dogs encroach on her space. She does currently live with another dog and does well overall but requires a private area for her crate.  Once she completes her final round of meds she will just need low activity until she has a repeat test to confirm her new HW negative status in 6 months.  Apply to meet Isla @ Happy Feet Pet Rescue ##2619803##
