Story
Milo is 4 years old and a gentle giant. We have small children and cats and he gets along with them. He is very chill and would be a great snuggle buddy. When we adopted Milo he was not house trained but he is now. When going to other homes he may want to mark his territory but with some quick training he will stop doing that. Ideally, we would love for Milo to have a decently sized backyard as he loves running. We adopted Milo from the Pet adoption center and he was brought to the shelter because of previous owner’s neglect. He was chained outside with no shelter or access to food/water. We would love to find a forever loving home for Milo. His shots are up to date and he is microchipped as well. We will provide you with Milo’s bed, feeding station, food storage container, toys and other pet supplies.

Story
Zita is the last remaining pup available for adoption from our Marley's Miracles litter of ten. Mama Marley was a Great Pyrenees who passed away from sepsis when the pups were just a couple of days old. The father was an Anatolian Shepherd mix. 1 year old Zita is an energetic girl. She gets the zoomies all the time and we love to watch her long legs run! At Zita's height, she can easily snatch things off of a table and does. However she hasn't taken to stealing things off the kitchen counter yet. Besides playing with the dogs in her foster home, one of Zita's favorite activities is chewing on a multitude of toys. She loves to tear apart stuffed animals, but doesn't eat the stuffing. Shy and reserved when meeting people, Zita has lots of personality in her foster home. A talker, Zita will let her foster mom know how she feels. Zita is treat motivated, potty trained, and does pretty well on a leash. Zita knows sit and goes in her kennel when you say round up. We have been monitoring Zita's bloodwork regularly as three of her littermates passed from kidney failure. Zita's bloodwork was slightly elevated in the spring, however since then her results were really good so our vet has cleared her to be adopted. Zita is still on a low protein diet. Zita will come to her adopter spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Adoption Requirements: A secure & visible fence A home check Another dog in the home A vet check with at least a two year vet history Adopters can be located in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa, and Arkansas.

Story
Kody was surrendered to rescue in 2020 because he and the other male dog in the home were not getting along. Kody is one of our six sanctuary dogs. He has been with us for such a long time now that we feel he would not do well transitioning to a new home. So we will continue to love and care for Kody in rescue. We appreciate donations towards his food/treats, monthly preventatives, and routine vet care. Hi my name is Kody. I am a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. I am a lovable boy who gives the Pyr paw. Very affectionate to my foster dad, I give him daily hugs when I'm sitting on top of my dog house. It's my favorite place to be to observe my surroundings. Walks are another favorite activity and I must carry my stuffed lamb with me. I also enjoy belly rubs, car rides, and boat rides. I'm food motivated and know sit, lay down, shake and hug but in typical Pyrenees fashion I only listen when I want to! I am neutered, up to date on vaccinations, up to date on flea/tick preventives, Our Adoption Requirements: A secure and visible fence. In order for your application to be approved you must pass a home check and a vet check which includes having at least a two year vet history. Our adoptable dogs can be adopted in Missouri and surrounding states: Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Arkansas. We are able to transport me to those states.

Story
We rescued Roscoe from euthanasia when he was surrendered to a Kansas shelter by his owners. After being at the shelter for 2 months Roscoe found himself on the euthansia list due to lack of space. His owners did not fill out any paperwork on Roscoe so not much was known about his history. What we do know is during his time at the shelter all the volunteers fell in love with him! Roscoe is one of our six sanctuary dogs. He has been with us in rescue since 2021. Roscoe has been in his foster home for such a long time now that we feel he would not do well transitioning to a new home. So we will continue to love and care for him in rescue. We appreciate donations towards his food/treats, monthly preventatives, and routines vet care. Hi my name is Roscoe. I'm not sure what mixed breed I am but I'm a giant love bug and weigh in at 100 lbs. I'm tall with a long, lean body and maybe I have some Anatolian Shepherd in me. I love attention from my people, especially being petted and getting belly rubs. You might even call me a velcro dog. When my foster dad gets home, I happily greet him. Still playful at my age, when I get excited I spin around. I enjoy being outside and like to go for walks. When we first set out on a walk I pull a little and I'm a little nervous around cars. I enjoy the companionship of other dogs, but I'm not sure about cats. Because I have some chronic inflammation in my knees, I take a daily anti inflammatory and joint supplement. I am up to date on vaccines, up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. Requirements for adoption: A secure, visible fence. Applicants must pass a home check and a vet check which includes having at least a two year vet history. Roscoe can be adopted in Missouri and surrounding states: Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Arkansas.

Story
Leo is one of our six sanctuary dogs. We rescued him in July 2020. Leo has been with us for such a long time that we feel he would not do well transitioning to a new home. So we will continue to love and care for Leo in rescue. We appreciate donations towards his food/treats, monthly preventatives, and routine vet care. My name is Leo. Don't you just love my beautiful golden mane and my amber eyes? I came into rescue after a Kansas Humane Society adopted me out twice but I was returned both times. My adopters didn't pay enough attention to me so I kept escaping my yard and went looking for friends. I'm a pretty chill guy and like being petted, but I'm not in your face about it. If you scratch my neck I will close my eyes and lean on you. I am very gentle with my Pyr Paw. Sometimes I even put up two paws and I almost fall over backwards in the process! I LOVE being outside observing my surroundings and am happy in a rural setting with a large yard to watch over. I'm house trained, like to go for walks, and like to play in the water. I am treat motivated and will sit for treats. My foster dad says I'm dog friendly but also like getting all the attention when other dogs aren't around. I was introduced to cats at the vets office and I paid them no mind. I am microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Our Adoption Requirements: A secure and visible fence. In order for your application to be approved, you must pass a home check and a vet check which includes having at least a two year vet history. Our adoptable dogs can be adopted in Missouri and surrounding states: Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Arkansas. We are able to transport to those states.
