Story
I have had Lily since she was 8 weeks old. She is currently 6 years old. She has been a wonderful dog over the years. I recently gave birth to a new baby and would like to rehome Lily to someone without small children. She loves to be outside and could make a great outdoor dog as well. She has lived primarily inside but without us having a fence she can’t live completely outdoors here. She is house trained and a great listener with her beeper collar. Does not require a leash if she has a beep collar on. She is very loving and requires little exercise. Would make a great companion.

Story
Hello friends! I’m Teton, and my foster mom says I am just GRAND! I’m a big boy weighing in at 85 lbs, which means I have a whole lotta love to give. My days are filled with hanging out with my two foster dog siblings, lounging in my doggy bed and most of all, just being with my foster mom. She even lets me sleep by her bed every night. In fact, I’m completely potty-trained and know how to use the doggy door. I crave love and attention even though it’s all so new to me. I really need someone home with me a majority of the time as I don’t like to be left alone. I can get very nervous when left alone. We are working on crate training so that I am in a safe place when my humans need to leave. I prefer a home with a 6 ft privacy fence and a doggy door.  I’m learning basic commands and to enjoy car rides that go to fun places like school with my foster mom! Adopters must live within 60 miles of St. Louis.May 26, 2023, 1:23 am

Story
Wrigley is a playful, energetic Great Pyrenees mix (unsure of other breeds) that is affectionate. This female puppy is a very sweet dog who loves people. She is always ready to cuddle. She is playful and on her way to being trained. She is great on a leash. She is almost a year old (6/22/22) and is full of energy. She loves being part of the family and stays in her cage when we are out. Wrigley will be a great family pet for her forever family.

Story
My name is Leo. Don't you just love my beautiful golden mane and my amber eyes?? I came into rescue after a Kansas Humane Society adopted me out twice but I was returned both times. My adopters didn't pay enough attention to me so I kept escaping my yard and went looking for friends. I'm a pretty chill guy and like being petted, but I'm not in your face about it. If you scratch my neck I will close my eyes and lean on you. I am very gentle with my Pyr Paw. Sometimes I even put up two paws and I almost fall over backwards in the process! I LOVE being outside observing my surroundings and would be happiest in a rural setting with a large yard or property to watch over. I'm house trained, like to go for walks, and like to play in the water. I like treats and will sit for them. My foster dad says I'm dog friendly but I would also be ok as an only dog. I was introduced to cats at the vets office and I paid them no mind. I do require a 6 ft fence and an owner who spends time with me so I don't go on walkabouts. My home needs to be child free as I am very sensitive to stress and anxiety. I will come to you microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. I really need my next home to be my Furever home. Applicants must have a secure and visible fence. In order for your application to be approved, you must also pass a home check and a vet check which includes having at least a two year vet history. I can be adopted in Missouri and surrounding states: Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Arkansas. My rescue is able to transport me to those states. If you would like to give me a furever home, please fill out an application on my rescue's website gprescue.com. Being fostered in Oak Grove, MO

Story
To inquire about/apply for Kody, please complete an application on our website gprescue.com. Hi my name is Kody. I am a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. My owner surrendered me because the other male dog in the house and I were not getting along. I am a lovable boy and once I get to know you I am very affectionate and will give the Pyr paw. I don't like to share my people with other animals so I need to be the only pet in my home. I need an owner that's home most of the day as I get anxious if you're gone a long time. Walks are one of my favorite activities and I like to take my favorite bone or stuffed lamb with me. I also like belly rubs, car rides, and boat rides. I'm food motivated and I know sit, lay down, shake and hug but in typical Pyr fashion I only listen when I want to! I need an owner who is experienced with resource guarding as I love my people more than anything in the world! Because of my guarding I need a home with no children. I will come to you neutered, up to date on vaccinations, up to date on flea/tick preventives, and microchipped. Applicants must have a secure and visible fence. In order for your application to be approved you must pass a home check and a vet check which includes having at least a two year vet history. Story
Denali was a dumped puppy in Arkansas in need of rescue. His rescuer contacted us to find him a furever home. He has been in rescue for 7 months and is still patiently waiting! Sweet and laid back, Denali is an affectionate boy. His favorite people get kisses and Denali will snuggle up with you on the couch or lay on the floor to get belly rubs. Denali does not like to be alone. If there aren't people around, he is quick to vocalize and let you know. Friendly with adults, kids, and other dogs, Denali has been to parks, the Farmers Market, outdoor patios, and even an art festival! Denali is confident to try new things and explore new places. At home, Denali is very playful and rambunctious, however he tends to be submissive during play and takes correction well from the adult Pyrenees in his foster home. Denali likes toys and chewing on bones, nonetheless he allows them to be stolen without protest. Denali LOVES playing in the mud, puddles, or kiddie pool after which he will inevitably come over and jump on you to try to get you to join in on the fun! Playing with balls, chasing bugs and butterflies, and wrestling are other favorite backyard activities. Denali is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Food motivated, Denali knows sit and is working on lay down. And like most Pyrs, he only comes when he wants to! Denali will come to his adopter neutered, up to date on vaccines, up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives and microchipped. Adoption Requirements: A secure, visible fence. In order for your application to be approved you must pass a home check and a vet check which includes having at least a two year vet history. Adopters can be located in Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Kentucky.
