Story
Handsome Adak, pronounced “ay-dack,” was named after an island in Alaska. Adak was a stray at a shelter that no one claimed. A happy boy that loves attention from his people, Adak will come over to you just to be petted. And if you sit or lie down on the floor he will be right next to you. He is a little reserved when first meeting a new person, but once you’re in his pack, he will be your best friend. Adak is a smart boy who knows some basic commands. This may have something to do with being very treat motivated. He is also a counter surfer so keep your counters clean! An energetic boy, Adak requires 1-2 daily walks; and he enjoys patrolling the backyard at his foster home. Adak also takes time out for a good nap. He enjoys the companionship of other dogs and would be very happy to have a female playmate in his furever home that matches his energy. He does fine with dog friendly cats. Adak is crate trained and rides great in the car. He walks pretty well on a leash until he sees something he wants to go see and then he pulls some in excitement. We think Adak is a Maremma Sheepdog, a livestock guardian breed similar to a Great Pyrenees. At 1.5 years old, he weighs about 80 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on core vaccines and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Adoption Requirements *A minimum 5 ft fence *A home visit *Children in the home should be 12+ *A vet check with at least a two year vet history Adopters can be located in Missouri and surrounding states: Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois. We are able to help transport to those states.

Story
Despite her rough start in life, Molly is a happy, playful girl. She is curious of the world around her. She likes attention from people and will help you with household chores, especially unloading the dishwasher. Molly walks well on a leash and is working on potty training. She likes the cats in her current foster home and she would love another dog to play with. We rescued Molly and five siblings from West Plains, MO after they were left behind to fend for themselves (outside) when their owner died. Molly is 4.5 months old and a BIG girl weighing about 60 lbs. She is up to date on core vaccines, microchipped and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Molly will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract with adopter promising to spay at a later date and must provide vet records at that time. Molly is located in Rolla, MO Adoption Requirements *A secure & visible fence *A home visit *A vet check with at least a two year vet history Adopters can be located in Missouri and surrounding states.

Story
Rose and three sisters were dumped on a rescuer’s property in Texas. Thankfully they were dumped where someone would take care of them and get them into rescue. Rose is a love bug and we love how her ears show such personality! A bit cautious with new things and loud noises, but when comfortable Rose is playful and adventurous. She loves to play with the resident Aussie in her foster home, gets along with all the dogs she meets, and doesn’t mind cats. Rose can lead or follow and she enjoys playing ball and will be great at fetch. Smart and a quick learner, Rose knows crate, off, sit, down, and is working on leash training. Rose likes to lean into her people and offer her paw, then just melts into your lap. She loves belly rubs and pets and will be a very affectionate companion. Rose is a bit protective of her food around other dogs which we attribute to being undernourished before she came to rescue. Rose is crate trained, 90% potty trained, and sleeps well through the night. Rose is being fostered in St Louis, MO. 5 months old, Rose weighs about 60 lbs— so she could be about 100 lbs when full grown. She is up to date on vaccines, up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. Rose will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract with adopter promising to spay at a later date and must provide vet records at that time. Adoption Requirements *A secure, visible fence *A home visit *A vet reference with at least a two year vet history Adopters for Rose can be located in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Arkansas. We are able to help transport to those states.
