Story
We have more dogs being turned into rescue. We will keep our site update as they come in, are vetted and determined ready to be adopted. If you have never had a Pyr Puppy you need to read this : http://www.nepyresq.org/page/i-want-a-great-pyrenees-puppy-50.html The application process is to go to our website and fill out an adoption application form. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-47.html We do not accept INVISIBLE fencing for the following reasons: 1) Most Pyrs ignore the pain and go through it. 2) This is a guardian breed and this fencing does not keep people or other animals out of your yard. The Pyr could take them as a threat or be attacked. WE do not allow them to be tied out. It makes them aggressive. If you do not have a fenced yard then a fenced area would be acceptable. Most of these dogs are not a dog park breed. They bark a lot and can bother your neighbors.

Story
Meet Koda – a 3-year-old sweetheart who is as gentle and affectionate as they come! She’s friendly with most dogs, adores kids, and is always ready to share her big Pyr heart. Koda walks leash and she’s potty trained on a schedule. She’s eager to please, rides beautifully in the car, and loves being part of the adventure. She is currently shaved down due to severe matting, but her beautiful coat is already growing back in. Koda is spayed, up to date on her shots, and new to her foster home, so we’re learning more about her each day. Because of her Pyr nature, she’ll need a secure 6-foot fence to keep her safe, and since she’s not a fan of cats, a feline-free home will be best. We feel that she would be best with a quiet life being an only dog or a very laid back older male dog of her similar size. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and joyful companion, Koda may just be the one to complete your family.
