I've been at my foster mom's since I was 11 weeks old. I'm really good in my crate during the day while foster mom is at work. I sleep in my crate at night as well. I also express my opinion when I'm crated and something else is happening in the house. I have strong FOMO! I may not look it, but my foster mom.had my DNA tested and I am Great Pyrenees, along with some staffie and some pittie and cattle dog. These long legs like to run lots of zoomies around the yard. They also help me jump like a kangaroo. A high fence may be necessary to contain my excitement. I would do best in an active household, with no small kids and no small animals. I do have a strong herding instinct. My foster mom had a cat that I really like to put in my mouth. I don't think the cat appreciated it very much. But I find it a lot of fun. I don't have to be the only dog in the household, but the other dog should probably be my size or a little larger and most likely a male dog. I seem to get along best with them. No girl drama! I can also be very protective of my stuff - food and toys especially. I don't like sharing them with other dogs. I am also the BEST guard dog - maybe a little too good. I want to alert you that you just let a stranger in the house and I have to go into protector mode. I am still learning that not everyone is trying to sell us solar panels and I don't need to be so mean sounding to foster mom's guests. If you are a dog savvy family that is willing to work with training and help me become the best dog ever, please put in an application. I would love to find my forever home. Meet Cliff the big white and tan dog, not to be confused with Clifford the big red dog but honestly they have so many similarities. First of all Cliff is a big boy. He is often not aware he is so big. He is however a sweet, lovable and goofy boy that is very loyal. Cliff wants to be where his people are. He has not met a person he doesn't like and because he is so big and handsome he stands out and the feelings are always mutual from ever person who has met him. Cliff has done wonderful meeting new dogs with the proper introductions. He does need work on his leash manners. It is quite possible he has never been on a walk with a leash or harness prior to coming to our rescue. On a walk Cliff is curious and wants to explore but needs to learn his human is in control when out on a walk. Cliff would love a nice fenced in back yard to romp around, patrol the perimeter, sniff the fresh air and soak up some sun in. Cliff will not turn down a treat which is good as it can assist with his further training because he loves praise and rewards. In his current foster home he is crate trained and has not had any accident in the house. Cliff deserves a home and furever family of his own maybe a fur sibling or a human kid even. Although we do not know the father, our vet believes that these puppies are full Great Pyrenees. Great Pyrenees frequently show up in shelters because there are many people that know little about the breed, do not have the right environment, or do not provide adequate training. It is our mission to find great homes for each one, where each will live a life time. WORKING DOGS We recognize that there may be those wanting to adopt for a livestock guardian dog. It is essential that your property have adequate fencing. Additionally, our adoption contract REQUIRES that adopters spay or neuter their puppies so these dogs are NOT to be used for breeding PETS Others may wish to have a Great Pyrenees as a pet. Please keep in mind that the training of these animals is much different than the average dog. They MUST be socialized as puppies and they are quite stubborn. Here is some more information on the breed. Please take a couple minutes to read through everything to make sure that adopting a Great Pyrenees is the right decision for your family! Key Breed Characteristics Size & Lifespan: Males typically stand 27-32 inches tall and weigh 100 to over 160 lbs, while females range from 25-29 inches and weigh 85-115 lbs. They have a lifespan of 10-12 years. Temperament: Known for a "zen-like" calm indoors, they are incredibly patient and gentle with their families. However, they are alert, nocturnal guardians who will actively patrol and bark at perceived threats. Appearance: They have a weather-resistant double coat that is usually pure white or features markings of gray, tan, or badger. Care & Lifestyle Requirements Space & Containment: Because of their roaming instinct and guardian background, they are not ideal apartment dogs. They require a large, securely fenced yard (preferably 5 feet or higher) to accommodate their patrolling duties. Training: They are independent thinkersnot easily obedience-trained like a Golden Retriever. Consistent, positive reinforcement and early socialization are critical. Looking for a home for my young pup, Milo. She was born a year ago (July 2025) and I received her from a family member. Milo is very friendly and loves to play. She is smart and can sit & fetch. I’m looking for a home preferably with kids and other dogs so she can interact daily. I live alone and sometimes travel for work and I know I can’t give her the attention she needs right now. Her only bad habits are jumping on people when excited and playful biting. I know with good training she can grow out of these habits. She’s really sweet as pie. She currently has had her rabies vaccine as well as her parvo series.
